  Description

  We are renovating a large historical house in south west France, overlooking the river Baise and set in a small village of Vianne within the city walls. There’s a bar and restaurant in the village, summer weather is great and we have central heating for the colder months.

  We are English speaking and would love to have help learning French but anyone wishing to speak/learn English it’s a good place to be! I’m an enthusiastic cook and love the markets and local produce. During the summer months there are evening night markets where you can buy fresh cooked local produce. We are in the Buzet wine region which is like a hidden gem!

  We have a large garden in need of ideas and work. Ideally experience of laying patios and laying paths would be useful. The garden has mature trees, bamboo and grass mainly at the moment

  We have a two bedroomed self contained apartment within the house with a kitchen and bathroom, alternatively there are 8 other bedrooms, I am happy to provide food and accommodation

  Bordeaux is not far away and can be travelled to by train (from nearby Porte st Marie, walks or bike rides along the canal, historically town of Nerac is close by, boat hire is available, we have had a holiday home here since 2014 and enjoy the wine and summer night markets
