    Description

Come and experience living in an authentic ecolodge, producing your own food and helping us to offer our guests an experience of contact with nature and sustainable practices.

We are a family company with several local employees, the majority working directly with hotels and hotel services, and two employees working directly in the production of organic food and management of agroforestry systems.

Our volunteer program proposes an immersion in agroecological practices and an intense process of cultural exchange and exchange of knowledge. The idea here is to make cultural exchange something natural and present in everyday life, since the direct contact with the local people is quite rich and brings in itself a huge cultural baggage.

We need help in the management of agroforestry systems, in the care of organic gardens, in the management of animals (chickens, pigs, horses and bees), in the production of Melaleuca essential oil, in the production of ecological cleaning materials and in the monitoring of trapp cameras (camera on the trails to capture the movement of animals on the trail).

In general, tasks are done during the week, in the morning, with weekends free.
There are many beautiful trekking trails and waterfalls nearby, easily accessible by bike (we provide one) or simply walking, it is the perfect eco-destination as we are located in one of the last fragments of Atlantic Forest, one of the most biodiverse biomes on the planet.
Our volunteer program is carried out by a hotel company and NGO that aims to create an environment for exchanging experiences and learning in the area of organic agriculture and agroforestry systems.

Volunteers will be welcomed and in the first days they will have a presentation on the systems implemented in the last 15 years. After this period of adaptation and recognition of the farm's activities, the volunteers will start to monitor and assist the work carried out by employees Bastião and Toninho. Tree pruning, weeding and mowing in the agroforestry planting line are the services we most need help with.
The help is quite manual and requires good physical conditioning.
Meals are served in the hotel's staff restaurant, and the volunteers' accommodation is in the accommodation also close to the hotel.

The learning opportunities are quite rich, especially those linked to agroforestry management and the restoration of degraded areas. Our objective is to make constant exchanges of learning among the volunteers in order to evolve in the concepts and practices of intervention in agroforested areas. Manual help is perhaps one of the best learning opportunities for those looking to start their own life in the countryside. In addition, our volunteer program proposes the exchange of knowledge between other people who already practice agroforestry in order to evolve with this fantastic tool that combines production and nature conservation.
The volunteers' stay at the farm is also a great opportunity to get to know one of the most beautiful tropical forests on the planet, the Atlantic Forest.
