Since 2018, our home has been this casa. A building dating back over a century, located in the emblematic Cerro Cordillera, between Socrates and Purcel streets. Its construction system has survived four major earthquakes, it represents in its typology, the typical constructions of Valparaíso: An oak partition with a quincha system, plastered in earth and straw, with plaster finishes; in addition to floor and ceiling coverings of Laurel and Oregon Pine. Giving an account of a social, economic and housing context of those times. About three years ago, we accepted the challenge of the rehabilitation of the property. First, it began with the recovery of the first level, which are currently two apartments for housing use. Today we follow up on this great challenge, since both the second and third levels must be rehabilitated, forming part of some of their enclosures,

Desde 2018, nuestro hogar ha sido la Casa . Un inmueble de más de un siglo, ubicado en el emblemático Cerro Cordillera, entre las calles sócrates y purcel. Su sistema constructivo ha sobrevivido a cuatro grandes terremotos, éste representa en su tipología, las construcciones típicas de Valparaíso: Una tabiquería en Roble con sistema de quincha, repellado en tierra y paja, con terminaciones en yeso; además de entablados de piso y cielo de Laurel, Pino Oregón y alerce. Dando cuenta de un contexto social, económico y habitacional de aquellos tiempos.
Hace aproximadamente tres años, aceptamos el desafío de la rehabilitación del inmueble. Primeramente se inició con la recuperación del primer nivel, que actualmente son dos departamentos de uso habitacional. Hoy damos seguimiento a este gran desafío, ya que tanto el segundo como tercer nivel deben ser rehabilitados, formando parte algunos de sus recintos, esto quiere decir: Nuestro Hogar!

We are a collective of architecture and construction, we are always hammer and saw in hand. We have constructed one house in a patrimonial edification and now we are working in the other half. We usually work with wood, mud, metal,... and we try to experiment new ways of building.
Somos de arquitectura y construcción, siempre estamos de martillo y serrucho en la mano. Hemos construido una vivienda en un edificio patrimonial y ahora estamos trabajando en la otra mitad. Solemos trabajar con madera, barro, metal... e intentamos experimentar nuevas formas de construcción.
