Description
This is a non-profit organization that promotes environmental conservation in Ecuador's Amazon jungle, particularly Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve.
The team consists of 5 people, 3 local Ecuadoreans: Neiser, Luis, and Arnold and 2 international liasons, Jan from the Czech Republic and Shannon from Canada. Neiser and Luis have both been Naturalists Guides in a local Wildlife Reserve for more than 15 years, so this organization has been developed out of their experience working in the Amazon jungle and their passion to protect the environment they live and work in. Arnold is the secretary and Communications Director, who manages social media, communications. Jan and Shannon are involved in research and connecting international tourists with work in environmental conservation. All of the members work here in a volunteer capacity and are not paid a salary.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with nature conservation projects in the Amazon. Our most common opportunity for volunteers is to assist at the Animal Rescue Centre in Lago Agrio.
Volunteers will be staying in Lago Agrio in the Puerto Aguarico region and will be volunteering in Lago Agrio and/or the nearby Kichwa Indigenous community during the weekdays.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

The members of our team are fluent in Spanish and English. Luis has been learning German and Shannon speaks French. Many of the local people who we work with in Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve are uni-lingual Spanish speakers. They are interested in learning English, French and German to communicate with the tourists who visit them in the Amazon jungle.Hébergement
Volunteers will be provided with shared accommodation in Lago Agrio, Ecuador at a hostel connected to the the organisation's office. There may be international tourists staying at this hostel as they await a tour in the Amazon jungle. This means that volunteers may have a chance to connect with and socialize with other travelers.
We will provide volunteers with local transportation to daily activities in the community, such as Ecuadorean cooking, visits to local indigenous communities, local hikes, and visits to local parks and tourist attractions. Some activities may require an addition entry fee, but could be organized if volunteers are interested.
We can also help connect volunteers with transportation options to and from Quito, such as local bus, tourist bus, private car and airport transit. We arrange to pick up volunteers upon their arrival in Lago Agrio.Autres infos...

There is no WiFi or cellular service in most places in the jungle. Volunteers would need to be prepared to be without service for a minimum of 4 days if they are in the Amazon jungle.
