Description
I'm small self-sufficient organic farm under construction. I have 1 horses, chickens, bees, dogs and cats. The farm is situated deep in the forest of central Croatia, 1 hour away (65 km) from capital Zagreb, on the slopes of Petrova gora mountain. It is 4 km distant from nearest village and 6 km distant from nearest shop. It's 150km (2hours) from the nearest seaside. Also in very close distance there is a small lake in the forest and swimming pools in Terme Topusko (small city on distance of 6 km).
For people who come from the cities working on my farm can be quite hard as it consists of all farming jobs you can imagine: preparing fire woods for the winter, hay for the animals, working in a big garden growing food in which all the work is done with the horse or by hand. I also want to start building a few new infrastructure buildings, mostly by relocating and upgrading old wooden structures from nearby.
All of this requires lots of hard work and we are grateful for any help from you... in exchange i can offer to you homemade healthy food and accommodation and lots of know-how.
Kids are welcome, vegetarian food available.
Near there are other people who live in a similar way so there is a possibility to help and spend time with them, too.
We would love to welcome people who want to change their lives and who are looking for inspiration to do so. We would like to welcome people who we can pass on our knowledge and life experience.
We are not good hosts for people who search a lot of social life, party and entertainment as we like silence and sounds of the nature.

Other jobs are house keeping jobs: cooking, cleaning, preparing winter stores.
There is always work to do and work hours and times vary depending on jobs that need to be done and weather so flexibility is important.

We had a lot of freedom to do what we want, and when we want. In two weeks, we learned a lot about digging holes, building fences and weeding potatoes. :)

She is very respectful of personal space of other people... willing to learn... persistent while working... good company... and really surprisingly mature for her age.
