Description
Front desk and other help needed.
We are a family owned hostel in the beautiful mountain town of Monteverde, Costa Rica. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers. Our family is friendly and very generous. We love to welcome new tourists and volunteers and share with them our traditions, customs and positive attitude towards life. Our cozy hostel consists of different types of rooms – mixed dormitories for up to 8 persons and private rooms. There is also an equipped kitchen with a beautiful views of the hills, a spacious common room and terrace where you can watch stunning sunsets.
These are our positions currently available;
Receptionists, Cleaning, Gardening, Manual Labor, Photography, Babysitting,
Work for 5 hours per day, combining reception work and other types of work as needed
Time of stay; minimum six weeks.

In exchange for your determined volunteer activities we would like to provide you with a free accommodation and breakfast and leave you also plenty of time to explore and experience the nearby attractions.

You would be staying with us, a local family in Costa Rica where you can experience everyday life and enjoy homemade typical meals. Majority of the members of the family speak mainly Spanish, so it is a perfect opportunity to improve your language skills too. We also welcome the opportunity to improve our English and learn other languages. Besides that, you can gain valuable experience with work at the reception, processing reservations through booking and hostelword, workaway webpage, customer service and problem solving. The hostel is located in a high tourist area, so you can broaden your knowledge about how tourism works in Costa Rica. And, of course, you can implement your photographic, gardening and planting skills. Lastly, you will meet a lot of people from all over the world and make many friends and have new adventures!
However, all activities we are offering to our tourists are waiting for you, as well. So get ready to explore beautiful cloud forests during the day or night, experience ziplining, rafting, canyoning, horseback riding and many other activities.

The town is highly walkable with a variety of options for transportation including local bus, shuttles, taxis, and more!

En lo positivo, ella es muy atenta, y servicial. Debia saber ingles para el puesto y no tiene esa habialidad, creo que puede hacerlo si se lo propone ya que es una chica muy inteligente.
It is a family business so you will get to know everyone and they are all so sweet, fun and helpful. even if I was not speaking Spanish, we managed to communicate together.
