Description
Nestled in a calm, peaceful haven brimming with nature, birds, bees, and our shy but adorable female cat 🐱, our house has been cherished through 12 generations of our family—about 500 years of history! Time to time, my ancestors did some renovation to preserve the house though. During Samurai-era, it is said that my ancestor got our lands, house, and rice-fields as a token from Shougun (Samurai-king).
My parents would kindly welcome you ! My dad was born and raised in our house, so he is very familiar around here. Mom is a tea ceremony and ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) teacherーheld some classes in here. (For the workawayer, its all free to experience those classes! Its meant to be one of the cultural exchange experience! ) Also there is one female cat here🐈, she is very cute but she is bit shy!
Me; As a former Workawayer in Norway, Finland, and Switzerland (plus a study abroad in Sweden), I truly get what it's like to be in your shoes. I understand how it feel to be a workawayer and how wonderful experience it would be :) Currently, I am taking break from my work and doing this.
You can experience and enjoy the life with Japanese very traditional house:)
Come immerse yourself in authentic rural Japan—history, culture, nature!

Hébergement
We offer a separate, modern guest house next to our traditional main house where we are living. It has Wi‑Fi, electricity, futons, a toilet, a kitchen, and a refrigerator, and this is where you will usually sleep and stay.
Our main house is a spacious Japanese traditional house, so you are welcome to relax and spend time either in the main house or in the guest house, as you like.
We plan to share breakfast and dinner together with you. Since there is a refrigerator in the guest house, you are also free to keep and manage your own food there. There is a supermarket about 2 km away, so you can go shopping for anything you need. We can go together by car and also you can use our bicycle.
You will have the whole guest house to yourself, so we kindly ask you to keep it clean and take good care of the space.
Autres infos...
This area is very local and off the usual tourist path, but there are still some nice places to see nearby. Most of them are relevant to nature, animals, and some small historical spots.
It might feel quiet or even a bit boring for people who prefer big cities and nightlife, but the atmosphere here is very peaceful and slow-paced. If you enjoy relaxing in nature, listening to birds, walking through fields, and experiencing everyday countryside life in Japan, I believe you will really enjoy your time here
