  Description

  Hello! My name is Enara and I am a 33 year old teacher who has been a stay at home mom for the last two years. I was raised speaking Spanish and Basque and have been taught English all my life too.
  Now I am married and have a 3 year old daughter (who will be 4 next summer) and would like to have someone to spend an hour or two every day just hanging out and playing with her who is a native English speaker so that she can start grasping the language too.
  Nora, our daughter, is a happy, smart and loving kid who is shy at first but when she gets used to someone she is very playful.
  My husband, Iker, speaks no English at all, so you will have a great opportunity to practice Spanish with him if that’s what you want.
  I have been an exchange student in the USA, spent a few summers in Ireland and Canada learning English and then I became an aupair, so I know what it’s like to be in your shoes, so we will make your stay as welcoming as possible!

  There are many things you would benefit from. For once, you could practice your Spanish and even learn some Basque if you are interested! Also, if you like going for walks, or even climbing mountains, this is the perfect place for you! We live right next to mount Aizkorri, which attracts many people and it has become a pretty well known mountain. You can also get to know our culture and learn how to cook typical Basque cuisine, meet new people and get to visit some pretty interesting places.

  Aide

  We would like for you to play, read to and spend time with our daughter, communicating with her exclusively in English. I am a teacher and my preferred method of teaching languages is the so called “Natural Way”, which would be put into practice by just adding someone to her life who will communicate with her in English. We don’t need you to take care of her or babysit her, an hour or two a day of just spending fun time together with her would be perfect. I will be home (most likely in another room so as to make it more natural once you have gotten used to each other) at all times, so no need to do anything other than play with her.
  
  If you are up to it and want to hang out with us on our free time we could also take short trips where we could show you around (we would pay for all of it: transportation, meals there, etc.) However, we respect your free time and this is totally optional.

  Hébergement

  We live in a 130 square meter house, that we are renovating and making bigger at the moment. We have two bathrooms and will have 4 berdooms as well as a fairly big living room and a decent kitchen. You will be using the room that is currently the master bedroom since we will be moving to the newer area of the house: your area has a double bed, a dressing room (a small one) and a bathroom.
  We have a big garden, and my boyfriend's parents live next door and have a huge vegetable garden in their garden, so we eat a lot of food that we grow there. My parents also own a great land of apple-trees in the town right next to ours, so we make our own cider, and you could also go and visit around if you are interested.
  
  Going back to the house, we only have one TV which is in the living room, but you are more than welcome to watch it whenever you want. You will also have unlimited internet access.
  Smoking is only allowed outside and only cigarrettes (since you will be spending time with our daughter we will have a very strong no-drugs policy), but we have a porch so you can smoke there.

  Maybe you have heard about the Basque people before, we are a very old community that has its own language and culture appart from the Spanish. (Although we speak spanish together with Basque as a mother languages). So in your stay with us you might get to know a new culture that maybe you hadn't even heard of before. Also, there are many different places to go visit around here and we could show you some of these places.
