  Description

  I run a small homeschool group of ninth graders out of my home in Nosara Costa Rica. I am in search of a passionate teacher who understands the challenges and blessings of leading students this age.
  
  My ideal candidate is a level headed, healthy person who will appreciate the ideal schedule that compliments morning and/or evening yoga of surf sessions with weekends off.
  
  Nosara is a magical place with some of the best surfing beaches in the world. There are people from all over the world who call this place home alongside the lovely locals, the Costa Ricans, who maintain the magic by sharing their knowledge and wisdom. Yoga, tennis, futbol (soccer), BJJ, Capoeira, drum circles, salsa dancing are other popular activities.
  
  The position entails leading students through a very straightforward and organized Math and Science curriculums in English. My students are all new additions to Costa Rica (immigrants), like myself. Classes are taught in English. Spanish language abilities are helpful but not required.
  
  You will join myself and one other teacher on this mission to guide the children and educate them. You will meet many fabulous people here and have also your food and a private, safe place to live taken care of! I have a bicycle and a surfboard for your use as well.
  
  Your schedule will be from 9am until 2:30pm Monday Wednesday and Friday. Lunches are included those days - other days you will be cooking for yourself but I will provide the ingredients.

  Monday Wednesday Friday you will be having hilarious and unexpected exchanges with your students. They are a creative and interesting bunch. There are only 7 students. The class is small and manageable.
  
  Each morning I surf at the beach. I’m happy to guide you into surfing. You will have access to boards. At the beach there are plenty of people to meet and befriend.
  
  My history teacher and I are both travellers and will take you along on as many adventures as we go on during your stay!

  Aide

  I am looking for a knowledgeable Math and Sciences educated being who will assist me in teaching my students. There are 7 students and the environment is very relaxed and enjoyable. They are ninth graders.
  
  The final trimester starts on Monday April 21st and ends on Friday June 27th. You are welcome to come as early as April 1st for training and enjoyment of the beach while the school is on spring break. I am looking for someone who can commit for this 2 or 3 month period.

  I like to practice French. I’m happy to help with Spanish language learning. Due to the nature of the position I require a helper work a solid grasp on English.

  Hébergement

  You will have a private apartment with AC located close to the school. It is equipped with everything you need to live comfortably during your stay. You can do your laundry in my house.
  
  I will provide you with your staple groceries weekly but you will be in charge of cooking for yourself. Your apartment is equipped with a blender, oven, stove, coffee maker and necessary utensils.
  
  You will join us for a typical traditional meal Monday, Wednesday and Friday as part of the school’s meal plan. Vege options are available.
  
  You will have a bicycle and access to surfboards.

  Autres infos...

  The pace of life that I have cultivated is slow and steady . Waking early to surf and sleeping early in preparation is the norm. Salsa dancing is fun and exciting but I don’t get carried away - after all we are teachers ie pillars of the community - this is not a good arrangement for party people!
