Description
My name is Jackline, and I manage this page on behalf of Senyo, the owner of the farmhouse. I’m a digital marketing specialist supporting his vision online, so you’ll often hear from me here. 😊
About the Farm & Senyo:
Senyo, born and raised in Ghana, is deeply passionate about agriculture, permaculture, and sustainable living. His dream is to create a healing, nature-based space where people reconnect with the land through farming, healthy food, and mindful living. The farm is still evolving, and we warmly welcome volunteers who bring curiosity, energy, and a willingness to learn and share.
About the Farmhouse:
The farmhouse is a serene, off-grid retreat nestled on a lush permaculture farm in Ho, Ghana. It’s designed as an eco-conscious space powered by solar energy, with a focus on sustainable living, fresh local meals, and immersive farm experiences.
Accommodation includes a cozy one-bedroom guest unit with an indoor toilet and bath, ideal for volunteers and visitors. For those seeking a closer connection to nature, tents are also available for an outdoor stay.
Expect friendly animals, seasonal harvests, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of hands-on opportunities to learn about sustainability. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, eco-adventurer, or simply looking for a meaningful and restful escape, the Farmhouse offers something unique.
We look forward to welcoming you!Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Staying at our farmhouse offers a unique opportunity to experience authentic rural Ghanaian life. You’ll be welcomed as part of the community, where hospitality is a way of life. From the local language (Twi or Ewe, depending on the region) to traditional cooking, farming techniques, and village customs, you’ll get a front-row seat to a culture that values simplicity, connection, and respect for nature.
You’ll learn how to prepare local meals like banku, jollof rice, or fufu, often shared communally under the stars. We also encourage Workawayers to share their own traditions—whether it's cooking a dish from home, teaching a craft, or just exchanging stories.
There’s a lot of joy in daily life here—drumming, dancing, spontaneous village gatherings, and you'll have the chance to take part in seasonal festivals or visit nearby markets, where colors, sounds, and smiles fill the air.
It’s more than just a place to stay; it’s a chance to connect deeply with a slower, more intentional way of living.Projets impliquant des enfants

We’re looking for enthusiastic and open-minded Workawayers who enjoy nature, community, and a slower pace of life. Our farmhouse is located in a peaceful village setting in Ghana, surrounded by greenery, sunshine, and friendly locals. There’s a mix of tasks, so there's something for everyone depending on your interests and skills.
You may help with:
- Light farming or gardening (planting, watering, weeding, harvesting)
- Simple building or DIY projects around the property
- Helping maintain and clean the farmhouse and guest areas
- Creative projects like photography, painting, or content creation (if that’s your thing!)
We often work together and love sharing skills, whether that’s learning how to cook local Ghanaian dishes, exchanging farming techniques, or just sharing stories and laughter over fresh fruit. It's important to us that this feels like a cultural exchange, not just a list of chores.
Whether you’re an experienced traveler or new to volunteering, we’d love to welcome you to our little slice of nature and community life.Langues

You will stay in a cozy farmhouse surrounded by nature, just a short walk from the village. The space is simple but comfortable, with a private room. There’s a clean bathroom with a shower, a basic kitchen, and plenty of outdoor space to relax, read, or stargaze at night.
We’re off the beaten path, so expect peaceful mornings with birdsong, fresh air, and beautiful sunsets. The house runs entirely on solar power, and we encourage low-waste, eco-conscious living. There is internet, albeit it might not be as fast as in the city, which is ideal if you want to unplug for a while and take in the slower pace.
You’ll share meals with us or cook your own, and we often gather in the evenings to chat, cook, or just enjoy the calm together. It’s a welcoming, down-to-earth space where you’ll feel like part of the family.Autres infos...
In your free time, there’s plenty to explore and enjoy! You can unwind at the farmhouse, take walks through the village, or simply relax in the natural surroundings. For those who enjoy staying active, there’s a tennis court located right by the Ho market—you’re welcome to join locals for a game or just enjoy the energy of the area.
Ho town itself is a lively place to visit. You can explore the colorful market, sample local street food, shop for crafts, or experience cultural events when they’re happening. There are also scenic spots nearby for day trips like Mount Afadja (the highest peak in Ghana), Wli Waterfalls, or Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary.
Local transport is affordable and easy to navigate. Shared taxis (trotros) and motorbike taxis are common and can take you to Ho town and nearby areas. We’re always happy to help you arrange transport or give tips on getting around.
Whether you want to rest, play, or explore, there’s always something interesting to do!Informations complémentaires
