  Description

  Hei,
  my name is Dominik and I am a slovenian guy who is living on Lofoten island, Norway for the past 10 years.
  I am an openminded, kind and easy-going guy.
  
  I am living alone, but I have two boys, age 8 and 6, who I visit or they visit me as often as I can. I work all around North Norway, so I am away most of the time. I work Monday to Thursday.
  
  You have endless possibilities for hiking, surfing, skiing and other outdoor activities here.
  I live alone on a farm (without animals) and my two boys come and visit me every 14 days. If not I work away from home whole week at the time, so you will get the house mostly for yourself.
  
  PS!: Some changes happened, so at the moment it seems like I will not be traveling away from home at all. So I will be at home most of the time until June. Please take this in consideration before you apply.

  I have a lot of knowledge about norwegian coastal culture and about slovenian culture which I am more then happy to share.
  I consider myself as a handyman and a good teacher, so if you would like to learn about forestry, gardening or carpentry I am happy to share my knowledge.
  
  Besides that the place is all about nature and its beauty. You can borrow a bicycle and explore the area around. There is a lot of hiking possibilities.

  Aide

  The task will mostly include housesitting, cleaning and taking care of the garden. I will occur that I will have some projects I will need help with but that we take as it comes. General maintenance like painting (we have wooden houses in Norway, so I am talking about LOADS of painting) and small carpentry projects are going on almost all the time.
  
  I would like to get some artists to help me with decoration of the house/barn and maybe make some drawings/paintings on the walls.
  
  Like mentioned you will be alone most of the time so I do expect a BIG degree of self reliability.
  All the tasks will be discussed beforehand.
  
  Also helping with cooking would be great, but that I would look on as as a culinary/cultural exchange.
  
  Also playing with my kids will be one of the tasks.

  Hébergement

  You will get your own bedroom in the house and we will share bathroom and kitchen in the same house. In summer time we use most of our time outside but winter months tend to be more inside by the fireplace.
  
  You would have to provide and make your own food when I am not there and we would be sharing meals when I am around. I have some knowledge about vegeterian cooking, not so much with vegan tho. Special diets need to be discussed in advance.
