Description
HELP NEEDED TO ESTABLISH A NEW PROJECT FOR OUR VILLAGE
We are a British couple living in France in our Charantaise bed and breakfast. Our latest project is to finish renovating our barn so it can be used for community activities. We also wish to create a vegetable garden, so we would be looking for enthusiastic gardeners! Any assistance with general improvements would also be useful. Basically we need help with generally tidying up outside and making things look creative and pretty. So anyone with an artistic flair would be most welcome.
In addition if you can play a musical instrument feel free to bring it along you may like to join in with some of our friendly french musicians.
this could be an opportunity for anyone wanting to improve their English language skills as Jacqui is a qualified English Teacher.
We live in a beautiful region near Cognac, on the edge of a small town where you can find a bar, restaurant, cinema and the usual shops. Our property is host to some wonderful wildlife, barn owls, golden orioles, hoopoes, coypu, red squirrels, and we want to work to ensure these species always have a home here.We have a good sized meadow by the river that we need ideas for, so any inspiration gratefully received! Plenty of walking and cycling routes around about. We have three friendly dogs, four goats and chickens.

The local village of Matha offers amenities such as french cinema,bar,restaurants, park, shops and supermarkets. There are larger towns only a thirty minute drive away. St, Jean d'angely, Cognac, Saintes and Angouleme have churches, museums, shops and restaurants with their own tourist attractions. So there is plenty to see and do.

If you play an instrument and sing you would be particularly welcome!
We are looking for someone who has good experience with animals and gardening as we want to establish a good sized vegetable garden on our property and as we do have dogs, chickens and goats our home would be suited to an animal lover. We have years of experience hosting guests from all around the world who have said that they relax and enjoy being part of the family household. Jacqui is a CELTA certified English teacher so you can improve your English language skills. We are a flexible and creative couple who enjoy meeting new people and we can cater for most tastes.
