  Update April 2023:
  
  Dear helper, we need URGENT help to paint and clean an old house. Currently, we have done the front area of the house, still left 4 rooms, 2 toilets and ceiling to be paint mainly with white color.
  
  Requirements: female helper only as male room fully booked. Since it is a hostel, a basic house rules may apply. Prefer helper came to Penang or Malaysia within this month or next month. Just send me a cross line copy of your passport for workaway use or any social app to identify you are a real person. You can stay for a minimum 1 day or few days. Working time is from 10-5 pm. Rest anytime when you feel tired. You will get basic free phone sim card, food, single small room with table fan, a local tour after work, etc.

  * Let me introduce a little bit about myself. I’m a business graduate and working full time till today. Every morning, I will take a simple breakfast and go to work. After working hours, it’s my free time, rest, spending time with family, watch TV, play with dogs (previously), continue my part-time work at night, learn programming or any new languages, writing travel books, blogs, gardening, mobile games, sports, etc. Sound boring 9 to 5 jobs? Yeah … me too … it’s really boring ^^
  
  * Anyway, i’m looking for someone who can teach me your NATIVE languages. I know 6 kinds of languages such as English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, 2 native languages from parents, and little Cantonese. Beginners and wish to learn more about: Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Korean, Japan, English (British accent), Thai, Hakka, Taiwan dialect, Vietnam, Tamil, German, Russian and Ukraine languages. You can find me at some languages app like Duolingo or HelloTalk. If counting my programming languages skills (php, java, html, c++), probably I know more than 15 kinds of languages >.< Most of the languages above I learned from the internet but not so fun compared to face to face teaching, am I right? I faced difficulties to continue self-learning those new language, maybe asking a native language speaker is better than study alone? Although i know quite a lot of languages, unfortunately i didn't master all of them.
  
  * Back to the question, what I’m looking for my workawayers do during the stay? First of all, a minimum and formal language teaching hours, totally 3-6 hours per day (depends my full-time work) by early discussion. After this teaching hours, you can stay in the house or go out anywhere you like, as long as you remember your main task in to teach me your native languages. Basic teaching subject include alphabet ABC to 123 numeric numbers in your native languages is a must. Follow by some daily and basic words in your native languages. Other than that I will ask you anything related to your native languages and culture, like when I saw a cup or bottle, I will ask you how to speak in your native language? If I forgot the language, I will keep asking, I hope you don’t mind about that. So in this situation, you must be a very patient teacher. I will ask you until you scared ^^ Sound simple just to teach me ABC and 123? Hahaha … no no no … try to apply I will give you a surprise. I’m just kidding ^^
  
  * You don’t have to be a professional language teacher, as long as you can share your native language and I can understand them after learning. Oh ya ... i also like to know a little bit of your native language background and history. Google translate is more like a robot sound, no temperature to be honest, it pronounce totally different sounds than a native speaker sometime ^^
  
  * Besides, if you can cook and teach me your country local dishes it would be perfect. I have been traveling and backpacking to more than 15 countries, and it’s really nice to meet people and culture lover from all over the world.

Preferably stay more than 3 weeks, because learning a new language from you is not a one day work. If you are not comfortable to stay here, kindly inform me early few days, so that i have preparation to say goodbye to you and a free gift (like a handmade postcard that written by different kind of languages from me).
  
  2. Tell me why you wish to come here? What you expect from me to give you in return? :)
  
  3. How many people (only female accepted for teaching) are coming?
  
  4. Tell me your religion, nationality, and originally from which country. Due to the current healthy issue of corona virus 2020, I would appreciate if you can tell me where have you been for the past 6 months. If you have been to any countries that in high risk during this period, i'm sorry temporary we cannot accept that due to our government restriction, subject to change. We prefer your first station is direct flight to my hometown Malaysia.
  
  5. Scan your photo ID of Passport, insurance policy or your emergency contact details when i accept to host you. For your info, we also had hostel rent here to local guests with normal procedure, do not worry that we will misuse your passport, you can cross line for workaway use only.
  
  6. Sorry, i do not arrange for helper visa, but i can give suggestion how to apply in anyway i could. No drugs allowed, no racism, no bad words, no discrimination, no hater, no illegal background.

  Our hometown information:
  
  1. We stayed at Penang, Malaysia. A small town 30 minutes from Penang International Airport. ETS or KTM train station just 5 minutes to our house. No beach at here, but i can drive you to nearest beach if i'm not busy. You may google it first before apply as a helper.
  
  2. Our hometown has a lot of local Chinese food, Malay (muslim) food and Indian food. Thai food, vietnam, korea, fast food and many more food outlet must have one that you love it i hope so.
  
  3. Around 5 minutes to clinic, phone shop, banks, bus station, taxi, coffee shop or we call it kopitiam, etc,
  
  4. Make yourself feel like at home as we are living in a small town with quite a low-paced environment. Unfortunately, we don’t have night club here. Everyone normally go to work and rest at home every day the same routine. As a Chinese, we prefer to work hard on weekdays and play hard on weekends or holiday times.
  
  5. Although we are not vegetarian, we don’t mind you are a vegetarian and teach me the benefit to eat healthy. Kindly inform me earlier if you have any sensitive of food allergic.
  
  6. You can get a bicycle to hang out and explore yourself our small town.

  * Come to join us if you would like to experience the culture and food of Malaysia. Penang has been declared as a UNESCO world heritage sites since 2008. Top 2 must visit tourist destination in 2017 reported by CNN. I can pick you up at Penang international airport during weekends Saturday or Sunday, or you can take a ferry to mainland by enjoy the sea view. Good luck on your journey and see you soon.

  * I’m looking for a long-term friendly relationship rather than a pass by traveler. We don’t have minimum or maximum stay at this moment, as long as it fit with your schedule and mine. If possible, i would like to visit your country one day and you become my tour guide?

  1. Free independent room with comfortable mattress and bathroom. Anything like a normal house equipment you can use by introduction on first day.
  
  2. Free one unlimited WiFi sim card (mobile phone).
  
  3. Simple breakfast like bread and Jam, biscuits, coffee, free drink mineral water. Normally in Chinese family, we eat local rice, noodle, curry, chicken, fish, pork, vegetable, soup (alternatively you can prepare your own local food). If you like what we eat, you can buy the material at market and let us make it for the next meal.
  
  4. If i'm not busy, weekends car pools with us to Penang city craving for different races’ food and drinks, watch movie, outdoor activities, sports, relax at beach, sing karaoke, etc,
  
  5. If you like to learn some simple Chinese language or cooking Chinese meal, we can teach you.

  1. I would appreciate for a positive attitude like honesty, humble and friendly person. Culture lover and teach us your native languages. If you have culture shock, please do not feel shy to ask me, I will explain as much as I could to make you feel like home.
  
  2. One female helper only as I think one language teacher is enough for me. But if you feel shy, you can negotiate with me to bring one more friend to accompany you.
  
  3. Someone quiet as I’m a quiet person as well. Sometimes, i can be very talkative and humor if you know me well. I spend a lot of time to improve myself like reading, writing, singing, culture exchange, etc. I don’t go to night bar or drinks alcohol or smoking, but a social wine or champagne is my favorite.
  
  4. Sorry, no smoking, no alcohol drunk (except little wine or champagne) and no bad words attack. Open-minded and no discriminate or racism.
  
  5. Cooking knowledge with my mom (perhaps share with us your country local food and beverage).
  
  6. Some simple and flexible time of gardening and house work like painting, cleaning, etc (i won't let girl do heavy work). Maybe can help in my office for some simple computer key in work or help in my hostel. Anything you can think to help is welcome for discussion.
  
  7. Preferably Sweden, Norwegian, Finland, or European countries that speak different languages I don’t know or never hear before. Self-discipline, independent, possessed a big heart to accept and forgive, able to handle culture shock, caring, and good behavior.
  
  8. A bonus point if you can share your facebook, instagram, snapchat or linkedin or any blog related to you in real life. I won't accept a stranger into our house, so do you? Thank you for your understanding.

  Our nearest visit area could be a 100 years old building that built by Britain and kept well during world war II, watching firefly at river, catching octopus, etc. There are two morning markets open on every day selling fresh vegetables, meat, clothing, necessities, etc. Nearest bank, clinic, phone shop, restaurant, almost everything in a small town.
  
  If i'm not busy, i can drive you 30 minutes to Penang city on weekends which is more fun, more yummy food, more heritage building, beautiful beach, and more excitement from day to night indoor or outdoor activities. For nearest hot spot of Malaysia tourism, i can recommend you to Genting highland 3 hours driving (casino & theme park), Pulau Langkawi 1 hours driving and 1 hour boat (feed eagle), cameron highland 1 hours plus driving (eating fresh fruit), etc.
