We strive to create a safe space to explore more of who you are and who you want to become. The community includes our guest house – an informal, inviting home with a shared kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room, and a 6-bed dorm for women and 6-bed dorm for men – and our coffee house, where we sell some amazing drinks with organic, locally grown coffee from Veracruz. We welcome people of all backgrounds and enjoy creating community around art night, film club, and community nights with board games, cooking, or just hanging out with Mexican nationals and guests and volunteers from around the world.
Our Community is part of a bigger organization (10 local staff who work together), that includes a guest house, publishing house, coffee shop, a camp, and the Latino Center for Mobilization. Between making some amazing coffee, publishing books, designing websites, supporting microenterprises, and networking with non-profit organizations across Mexico and globally, we exist to help inspire people to use their abilities to serve others. The Mobilization Center hosts multiple events per week geared towards raising awareness about social issues and helping people explore opportunities for serving those in need. The staff are followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ and this is reflected in many of our events, but we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and look forward to getting to know your story.
