  Description

  A few years ago, we bought a house in the Aude department and are trying to spend more and more time there. We go there as a couple, with our adult children, or with friends. Our townhouse is situated on a square in the historic centre of a larger village with cafés, restaurants and small shops. We love the location as a base for trips to some of France’s oldest towns, to the coast, into the countryside, and to the Pyrenees. Another passion of ours is cooking and enjoying local produce. We are happy to share our enthusiasm and look forward to meeting people and exchanging ideas. It is important to us that guests treat one another with respect and handle the items in the house responsibly. As we are not always on site, a personal and binding agreement is necessary.

  Discover the beauty of culture and nature in the Occitanie region. We’d be happy to offer some tips! We’re keen to practise languages. Our French is still rather limited, but in return we can offer German as native speakers… We’d also love to share cooking ideas.

  Aide

  Our house is just under 200 years old and we want to preserve as much of its old charm as possible – so there’s always something to do: this means we need some DIY help and creative ideas. In the near future, for example, we’ll be renewing the terrace (wooden decking), painting the stairwell and one of the rooms, and painting/restoring the shutters.

  Hébergement

  We have three guest rooms and two shower rooms, as well as a shared roof terrace and a shared kitchen. As the rooms are allocated differently, please contact us to arrange your stay.
  
  We love cooking and enjoy sharing meals together. Of course, if you’re interested, we can cook together too – we’re always open to culinary inspiration!

  Autres infos...

  The village has restaurants, cafés, a small supermarket and a chemist’s; art and culture are a big part of life here. You can go for walks straight from the house, and there’s a spot for swimming in the river (though it’s nicer in the next village :-) ). We have a few (older) bikes available for use. The beach is about 30 km away. Public transport is available, though limited during term time.
