  Description

  We’re a friendly family of four living in Saint-Marcel-sur-Aude, a peaceful village in the beautiful Aude countryside of southern France. We have two little ones (ages 3 and 5) and a much-loved small dog. Our home has a garden and a swimming pool — perfect for relaxing!
  
  We’re only 5 minutes from the Canal du Midi and about 30 minutes from the Mediterranean coast, so there’s plenty of nature, walks and sunshine to enjoy.
  
  We’re looking for a native French speaker who’d like to share daily life with us and help us improve our still-basic French through everyday conversation. In return you’ll get your own room, home-cooked meals and a warm family welcome.
  The help we need is light: some cleaning, tidying, a bit of cooking and walking our dog. You should feel comfortable around young children, as family life is at the heart of our home.
  We speak English and Hungarian and would love to welcome someone who wants a real cultural and language exchange in this lovely corner of the south of France.

  You’ll live with a welcoming family in a peaceful village in the Aude, just 5 minutes from the Canal du Midi and 30 minutes from the Mediterranean. You’ll practise French in everyday life with us, during meals, conversations and daily activities, while sharing our relaxed south-of-France lifestyle. In return we can share English and Hungarian (if you'd wish) and show you local life, nice walks and the beautiful surroundings. 😊

  We’re looking for some help around the house: cleaning, tidying, a bit of cooking, and walking our small dog. Nothing too demanding, just a natural contribution to daily life. You should feel comfortable around young children (ages 3 and 5), as family life is at the centre of our home.

  In your free time you can relax by the pool, in the garden or on our lovely terrace with great views - perfect for watching the sunrise! You can also go for walks in the countryside or cycle/walk along the Canal du Midi. The Mediterranean coast is just about 30 minutes by car. There are nice villages, markets and local restaurants nearby too.
  We can help with local tips and assist with getting around when we can. 😊
