Description
Hi all,
My husband and I have relocated to New Zealand after living abroad for 20 years. We have taken on a project of managing a kiwi fruit orchard in the beautiful Golden Bay region.
We have 2 horses and a few chickens that I would need some help with when I am travelling. There is also a bit of gardening to do, and the possibility for you to work on the orchard if you are also looking for some paid work.
We are looking for someone hard working and reliable. Strong horse experience is essential :)
If you have experience with horses you would be welcome to ride them -

My husband is Kiwi and I am French, so I have been through the process of learning English myself and I will be patient and pedagogue! There are also many foreign workers working on our kiwi orchard, so you will also have the opportunity to meet them and settle into the community

Aide
We have 2 horses, so each morning and night they need to be fed. During winter, they also need their cover on at night and removed in the morning.
Regarding the 4 chickens, they need to be fed, water changed, and their cage cleaned every week
The remainder of your time will be spent doing a bit of gardening & weeding -

We are a bilingual French/kiwi family -
Hébergement
You will have your own sleep out, kitchen (stoves, oven, microwave, fridge) and bathroom (incl shower and washing machine) which are all in proximity of one another. Your sleep out is 20 meters away from the main house so you have your own privacy.
Since you will have your own kitchen, you are expected to cook your own meals. We would be happy to provide some eggs and meat once a week. There will also be possibilities for to help yourself from the veggie garden -
