THE CULTURE
We are coming from the permaculture & transition towns movement and we are friends and partners in projects with international ecovillages & communities. We love people and nature and want to hold the space for quality and responsible relationships with our guests, sharing the know-how and being open to learn from different cultures..
THE SEED GARDEN(s):
The main garden:
Cultivating traditional varieties in danger of loss of vegetables, flowers and trees, and multiplying them in order not to lose them. We want to bring them back into the farmers hands the tasty and healthy vegetables and fruits bac to our table. It is about abundance, and about food souveranity.
Cultivated areas and wild areas, all together 1500 sqm.
Techniques used in the garden: traditional agriculture, permaculture techniques, regenerative agriculture.
We are watering, harvesting, composting, saving seeds.
The Show-Garden:
Once a week we visit and garden in the in (a house of ethical entrepreneurs we belong to and which is hosting our cold season office, where on a small plot we bring together some of the rare and almost lost varieties of legumes, aromatics and traditional flowers.
THE HOUSE(s):
A brand new tiny wood house with a small porch, designed by an natural houses architect and built with volunteers.
A bell tent, for day time & for workshops.
An outdoor ecological dry toilet and a solar shower. A small electric stove, a rocket stove. Electric energy from the neighbor's house, where the Seed Bank is also hosted.
THE PEOPLE:
Adina is your host. She is the community seed bank's coordinator and a nature lover, with experience in community oriented project. Together with her, people from different professional backgrounds are heartly supporting the Seed Garden and the Seed Bank.
Sometimes, in the weekends mostly, there are seed bank's members & volunteers coming together in the garden, to work in the seed garden, enjoy nature and have a quality community time. They are learning, working in the garden, cooking and/ or eating together, sing, tell stories and enjoying the simple life.
Much needed nature lovers for the seeds and gardens and people with technical approach for setting the outdoor kitchen and other comfort facilities. 🙏Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre
