  Description

  Hi!
  We're a family of 4 (father, mother a 9 y.o. girl and a 7 y.o. boy), sharing our house with 2 dogs and a cat.
  We live in a small city (Sant Quirze del Valles) 20 Km away from Barcelona downtown. Our house has a nice garden with swimming-pool, which helps a little bit cooling down our hot weather in summer time.
  We've hosted before au-pairs at home, and the experience has always been very good both for the au-pair and for us, as a family.

  The au-pair is welcomed to join us at evening dinners at the garden, and we'll be happy to talk about politics, science, movies or anything she might be interested in. Over the weekends, we always do some outdoor activities (going to the beach, lunch in downtown Barcelona, sailing...) and we'll be happy to have the au-pair joining us as well.

  Aide

  We look for a female au-pair who could stay with us during July 2025 (4 weeks). The au-pair should be English speaking native.
  The kids will be on vacation but, most likely, they'll spend 2-3 hours in the morning at a campus. Therefore, working hours will be around 5 per day.
  The au-pair should have some preliminary experience in working with kids. During the hours spent with our children, we really want the au-pair to be proactively playing and speaking with them. We do not want a person just sitting next to them while watching her phone.
  While the au-pair is not required to do any major housework, some basic stuff is appreciated, such as keeping her room tidy (as an example for the kids), or perhaps preparing some very basic meals eventually.

  Hébergement

  Private room and bathroom. Access to all common spaces at the house. Garden with swimming pool that can always be used.
  
  We offer 3 meals / day. If parents are not at home, the volunteer may need to cook by him/herself (and for the kids). When parents are at home, we are happy to cook, and/or the volunteer might cook for him/herself.

  Autres infos...

  Train station is 15min away walking. Bus station is 2 min away. In the afternoons, once we're back from work, you would still have plenty of time to go to Barcelona downtown or just spend the rest of the evening with us at home.
