Infos
 - Description- We are a retired couple who have raised 3 sons on a homestead in Torere, Bay of Plenty. Our farm overlooks the fields & orchards, with the ocean in the background. The gardens provide us with food all year round, and we frequently visit the ocean to fish and set craypots. The majority of the food comes from the land and sea.
We have 1 dog, a cat, multiple chickens, and ducks. Mike is a talented woodworker. He has built all the buildings and structures on the property, some of the timber grown on our land over the past 35 yrs, and all milled on his woodmizer sawmill. Claire's passion is in the garden, where we grow most of our food all year round.
John, Dan, and Ben are Mike and Claire's sons, and they often visit or live on the farm.

Along with the gardens, there is general maintenance on the property, painting, weed whacking, pruning, weeding, and cooking. Depending on the season there is also relish, chutney, and jam-making, including fermented foods. We also make our own fresh apple cider. Claire makes her own sourdough, saurkraut, apple cider vinegar, and preserves.

 - Hébergement- There is a cabin with two rooms, a double bed in one and a single bed in the other, with a shower area that connects to our outdoor summer kitchen. We also have an outside bath area, under the stars, overlooking the sea. We provide homegrown food and locally sourced meats and fish, which we enjoy catching ourselves. Growing, cooking, and sharing nourishing food is our passion.
