Description
My name is Nick, born in Argentina but I have Dutch roots. I lived in the Netherlands for 20 years where I had a beach-bar. Now I run a big restaurant in Los Antiguos, a beautiful little city close to the Chilean border in the province Santa Cruz connected to the 2nd biggest lake in South America 'Lago Buenos Aires'. This village is famous for it's red fruits especially the cherry. Summer is warm and sunny but winters are cold and snowy. Tourism is high in beginning of the summer and during summer.
Besides my restaurant I own a big piece of land where I grow organic fruits and vegetables that I can use for the restaurant. I am also planning to build a house/cabana out of organic materials. At the moment I am also building a normal house next to the land that need to be finished.
For mainly spring and summer I would like to have enthusiastic, hands-on volunteers to help me on the agricultural land and building the organic cabana.

Volunteers can learn how to grow fruits and vegetables and to keep the land fertile for future cultivation.
Learn how to build cabana's with organic materials.
I can speak Spanish, Dutch, English, and German so I can also help with language practice.

For the land I need people for harvesting fruits and vegetables, weeding, greenhouse work and other sometimes heavy duty work to keep the land fertile and ready to grow new fruits and vegetables.
Help with finishing the house next to the land, see photos.
Help with building a cabana out of organic materials, no experience is needed.

Los Antiguos is connected to Perito Moreno and Caleta Olivia. Daily buses run to and from Los Antiguos.
In your free time you can check out the lake and the viewpoints all around Los Antiguos.
Visit the Marble caves in Chile.
Hiking in Patagonia Park and in the mountains.
Also popular is the Cueva de Los Manos.

Nick es un anfitrión excelente e incluso una mejor persona. Compartimos 3 semanas con él y Pupa que fueron espectaculares. Trabajamos en la huerta, desmalezamos, cosechamos frutillas, cerezas, ayudamos en el restaurant y nos divertimos harto charlando con Nick.
