  Description

  Above the Atlantic coast of Western Asturias (between Cudillero and Luarca) this is a small organic, permaculture place where we, Lynn & Pepe, live along with a few chickens, Luke, the dog, and 2 cats, Pepper & Tolo. We have been here for what now seems like a long time and are eternally grateful for all the volunteers who have helped us build this place since 1995. There remains plenty to do and permaculture ideas are always fun to kick around.
  Any skills are appreciated but especially gardening and cooking. We eat a lot of vegetables and good food but are not a vegetarians. We do not smoke and ask that you do not either, at least not in the garden or inside.
  
  This is a rural location with spectacular views of the ocean and mountains. The beach is 12 kms downhill by bike or 5 kms on foot. Public transportation is 4 kms away on the coastal A8 Motorway, ALSA buses or FEVE train in Novellana.

  This is a special place. The views of the mountains and ocean are incredible everyday, at all hours. We have a nice group of friends and get together to have fun, share experiences and help each other out.
  
  I am an assiduous knitter and an expert sock maker should you want to learn and would love to learn to crochet. Pepe is a great cook and makes a mean tortilla.

  Aide

  There is a list of morning chores for you, letting the chickens out, checking feed and water, greenhouse watering, gardening, etc. We like to work mornings and take the afternoons off after lunch at 2:30. Your free time is all yours. Please mention any skills you can bring to this. Gardening knowledge and strimming is invaluable. Cooking is always welcome. Any musical skills are much appreciated.

  The accommodations vary depending on who is here and how cold it is. We have a cottage and a caravan.

  Autres infos...

  It is always best to bring your own waterproof, comfortable work shoes/boots. Sandals are a good idea to wear in the ocean. This is northern Spain, never too hot and cool in the evenings. Bring your raincoat and bathing suit!
  The beaches are varied. Walking in the hills is pretty. The Camino de Santiago goes by our place.
