  Description

  This is a grassroots initiative that is rooted in the desire to reconnect with nature and live in accordance with the patterns dictated by nature. The project aims to be a pioneering holistic design in bringing forth the incarnation of concepts related to the ecovillage context such as striving towards not only sustainable but regenerative social, economic, and ecological practices. The main intention is to create a natural hub that exemplifies biodiversity and community resilience. This hub serves as an educational platform that prioritises experiential learning and knowledge-sharing. This is a call to rediscover our authentic selves, to untame and rewild our spirits, and to reclaim our wholeness. In a world where children learn to fragment themselves to fit in, we invite a return to self-love and acceptance by embracing all aspects of who we are. By shining a light on our shadows, we pave the way for healing and empowerment. How would our world look like if we shift from ego to eco, from hierarchy to interconnectedness, from greed to green, and from self to service? We seek to infuse the world with radical acts of kindness, to cultivate a culture of care, and to awaken our capacity to recognise the intrinsic beauty in everything.
  
  In 2021 we have decided to give a chance to a land whom has endured a long period of monoculture exploitation and being treated as the local land filled trash zone. So we have started a community garden project guided by the mission to regenerate the land and restore the ecological balance while learning to work together with others and building community. The 3 main pillars of the project are represented by the community garden; the organisation of alternative events; and the overall implementation of the permaculture design. The project operates as a vegan space, encouraging a plant-based diet for ethical and environmental reasons.
  
  So far, the project has had many stages, forms and people involved. All this has thought us to find resilience, acceptance and amazement in the transformations that are happening and to trust more in the process. At the moment the main space holders of this project are Cameron and Teodora. Both Cameron and Teodora envision the project as a training ground for creating and practicing the next culture, centered around a new narrative that emerges as a necessity from living an alternative story to the conventional one: the story of separation, as Charles Eisenstein names it.
  
  The project aims to emphasises the interconnectedness of all living beings and the importance of living in harmony with nature. It serves as a transformative space that empowers people to take responsibility for their local environment and to make conscious choices that contribute to the regeneration of natural ecosystems and biodiversity. Furthermore, the future plan is to implement a food forest design, which mimics the structure and function of a natural forest ecosystem and provides for the needs of both the environment and community.
  The central objective of the place is to improve the health of soils and the ecosystems, thus enhancing the overall resilience of the land and people. The project also aims to raise awareness on the correlation between inner and outer ecology, emphasising the impact of our actions on the environment and how it reflects on our well-being.

  We would like to consider this time that we spend together as an invitation to experiment community living with the intention of becoming more aware of ourselves, others and the world around us. We would also love to offer you the space and support to embrace your own experiments that wake up your curiosity and enthusiasm.
  
  Through hands-on participation in our gardening and permaculture projects, you can gain practical knowledge about organic farming, composting, and regenerative agriculture.
  
  It offers a space for travellers to step away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and reconnect with nature. You can learn about alternative ways of living that prioritise environmental stewardship and community cooperation.
  
  Immersing oneself in a new environment and taking on new challenges can lead to personal growth and self-discovery. You may gain a deeper understanding of themselves, your values, and your place in the world.

  Aide

  We welcome travellers who are passionate about nature, sustainability, and community building. We invite you to join us in our gardening and permaculture projects, where you'll have the opportunity to get your hands dirty. Tasks may include planting, weeding, harvesting, composting, and caring for plants. Additionally, we appreciate help with maintaining our community space, organising events, and creating and facilitating workshops.
  A day's tasks can vary a lot according to what needs prioritisation. There are multiple projects on the waiting list and depending on what interests, skills and expertise you have we can decide together which one to approach.
  
  Some of the projects are: Tree planting, improving the irrigation system, building an outside kitchen, building a clay house, food forest design implementation, renovating the container, creating another compost toilet, creating a pond, building an underground greenhouse, creating sessions and workshops, creating a stage etc.
  
  We are also very interested to know what excites you and if possible and if it aligns also with our vision, finding a way of helping you bring forth a project that you are passionate about. We are happy to host open minded, self driven, creative people who are eager to learn and share their experiences and skills with us. 
  
  All applications are welcome.

  Hébergement

  The project unfolds in Domnesti, Ilfov , only 14 km away from Bucharest city centre. There is public transport available to take you into the big city life if needed.
  
  Depending on your choice we have 2 options for you.
  
  There is the option to camp on the land. We can also offer you the necessary sleeping equipment. However it is important to know that at the moment there are no "modern" cooking facilities (only rudimental) and there is no possibility for warm showers - only fresh reinvigorating ones. This option offers you more privacy and nature connection.
  
  The other option is to live in a house that is fully equipped for living a "comfortable couch life". You will have a cosy private room. All basic and non basic facilities are available: heating, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, internet, bed sheets and towels, music instruments, dancing space, creative work space.
  The distance in between the house and the land is 5 minutes by car / 35 walking walking/ 12 minutes cycling. We can put 2 bicycles at your disposal in order to ensure transportation to the playground.
  
  To be able to stay with us you must give up eating meet for the period you are planning to stay with us. This includes both our home and the location of the project.
