Leipzig is a beautiful city, now often called "Hypezig", as there is such a big "hype" about it. Leipzig has a huge cultural scene, with lots of galleries, urban gardening, political/artsy/other projects, many cute cafés and nice restaurants (a lot of vegan ones!), parks, independent cinemas, bars and clubs and super friendly people. Compared to other German cities it is quite cheap (food, fun stuff, ...) and it is super easy to get to places with public transportation (tram, bus, metro) or by bike. I have a bike that you can use. It is also close to the capital Berlin (and just 12€ by bus!) and to other east German cities like Dresden.
Things to do for example: Explore abandoned factories and other old buildings, go to the two lakes, explore the city and do sight seeing stuff, go to the climbing hall, watch movies in german or english at one of the many independent cinemas, go on bicycle or hiking trips, eat yummy and cheap food at "Voküs" (peoples kitchens - you get food for a little donation), visit galleries, go to thrift shops and cool little other shops, go to concerts, go to fleemarkets (like the "Agra" - Europes biggest antique market), hang out at the "Sachsenbrücke" (Saxony bridge) in the park - there are often concerts/fire jugglers/... and it's a hang out spot for young people; going slacklining in the park, feminist kickboxing classes, barefoot dance parties and open air parties, Yoga in the park, .... I can tell you about all the cool spots and insider tips.
Also you can take part for free in the yoga classes, meditations, etc. (in German though).Aide
Hello!
I am looking for someone who loves to cook healthy, vegan food and would like to join me in an Anthony William Style detox. I would provide all the foods, superfoods etc. and you'd prepare the meals, juices, drinks etc. -
If you are interested in harvesting wild herbs from the forest - great! If you are interested in ayurveda or other healthy nutrition styles - amazing. If you don't know anthony william - no worries. look him up and see if its your thing. I have many of his books with lots of recipes and also loads of books (some englisch, some german) about ayurveda, veganism, raw foods etc. So you can just follow the recipes/we can discuss together what to make.
If you would be interested in making cool organic rapeseed candles or macramee, you can help me make some candles/macramee!
Also I love board games and have a big collection - always up for a games night, if you like!
So how exactly would your day look like?
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks (doesn't necessarily have to be at specific times, you can prepare ahead of time)
- possibly do some cleaning/help around the house
- possibly make some candles
- have time for yourself, enjoy the city - nature, culture, sports, sight seeing...
In exchange you get:
- a cozy room WITH A SAUNA! in a beautiful apartment
- food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks - 7 days a week)
- free classes at my studio - Mahina (in German though)
- advice what to do in Leipzig, possibly we can do some things together tooLangues parlées
Allemand: Courant
Anglais: CourantHébergement
You would be sleeping in the guest room - with a double bed, desk, wardrobe and very nice interior design and with an infrared sauna!
The flat is super nice - old apartment with wooden floors, high celing etc.
We have a big kitchen with everything you could need, bathtroom, wifi, washing machine...
The apartment is located in the west of the city (Altlindenau/Plagwitz), with a big grocery store, a drug store, banks, some restaurants and cafés, in less than 5 minutes walking distance. The Karl-Heine-Straße in Plagwitz is about 3 minutes walking distance - it is a super hipstery street with restaurants, bars, art galleries, cool little shops and two independant cinemas. In Plagwitz there are many abandoned factories and other pretty, old buildings that you can explore, the channel where you can go on kayak trips (I even have one ;)), many thrift shops, arty shops/art projects/galeries, clubs, bars etc..
The beautiful "Palmengarten" park is in walking distance and there are multiple tram and bus lines around the corner.Autres infos...
Meals are included, all vegan. If you want to eat dairy and eggs, you can buy your own, but I don't like to have meat and fish in the house.
How to get to Leipzig:
Leipzig has an airport (Leipzig/Halle) although it is quite small, but if you are lucky you can still find cheap flights from other European cities.
If you are traveling by plane, you can also fly to Berlin (there are two airports) and then take the bus (just 12€!) or train to Leipzig.
From other German cities it is usually cheapest to take the bus, but train works too (and I can give you some advise on how to get cheap train tickets!)
When sending me a message, please tell me a bit about yourself! I am excited to meet you! ;))Informations complémentaires

I was a little worried at first, that hosting a couple with a child would be stressful to me, but it turned out completely different then I thought. They cleaned up after themselves, were very attentive and spent a lot of time… read more
It seemed like the perfect timing to find her hosting offer and the help she needed was exactly what we could offer her in exchange for staying there.
Her place is very lovely and comfy and we felt very welcome from the beginning.
The thing we loved the most is probably the open communication. It made living… read more
