I spent two rainy weeks with Liz and Lockie in October working in their home garden and assisting with roofing and pouring a concrete floor in Port Renfrew. They are easy going and full of interests. I had a large bed and a private bathroom on the second floor. I enjoyed the meals of fresh vegetables from their garden and seafood caught by Lockie.

… read more were working 5 hours daily in average and on the afternoon we could enjoy the city. During the weekend Liz and Lockie took us for a day trip to the Juan the Fuca National park and next day we visited Cowichan bay, Couble Hill and landmarks ont he outskirts of Duncan. It was a life changing experience owing to the many discusses what we had together with our hosts. My esperience with Liz and Lockie was great. I spent almost 3 week on March 2020 doing different works as gardening, carpinter and I spent a lot of time doing hiking. Lize was a joy to have stay with us. She is a very hard work and we sure got a lot done. Mostly gardening as the weather was amazing so most of her help was in the outdoors. I had a wonderfull time at Liz and Lockies home. I enjoyed the trips to Campbell River, Qualicum beach and Port Renfrew! I prepared the garden for the winter and I learned a lot about gardening, bees, cooking, dogs and their way of life! Liz and Lockie are very flexibel, caring, open and hard working people. I stayed for 2 months. This was my first workaway and I really enjoyed it. I saw puppies born three times. I hadn't seen the scene before, so I was moved. All of puppies were so cute. My stay with Liz and Lockie was excellent. They are so nice and made feel like at home. Even when I got ill and couldn't leave the bed Liz took great care. Also they made sure I saw a lot of the surrounding area and also got involved in family meetings. To sum it up it was the best first workaway experience for me. Thank you both.

We stayed with liz and lockie for 3 weeks in november. First off they are very welcoming. They are very busy with lots on the to(especially liz) . I helped them with some construction work while sabrina helped with housework and with the dogs. They had 2 litters of dogs while we were there. I ended up going prawning with lockie twice . They have lots on the go and the ideal person would be independent and have some common sense. Thanks for the experience. We spent more than 2 months with Liz and Lockie. They were very nice to us and its like we were part of their family. My boyfriend helped building a suite and I help with the dogs and cleaning the house, meals etc.
Amazing organic meals, beautiful house...but most of all great people.

We spent 4-5 days with Liz and Lockie ! It was absolutely great ! They are nice and smart ! Dogs are so funny ! The work is so easy (cooking, gardening...). We enjoyed our journey !
