  Description

  Do you feel like discovering a typical rural Swiss landscape - a mosaic of natural, peaceful forests, green meadows and pastures with cows eating chocolate as well as small villages? And do you feel like living your creativity and craftsmanship in and around an old farmhouse or would you rather dig your hands in the earth in our beautiful garden and let the diversity blossom? And do you also have a desire to exchange about cultures, alternative lifestyles and our relationship with nature?
  If you feel a YES to these questions, then you'll be at the right place in our family in the beautiful Emmental!
  We - Nicole, Christian, Tim and Cedric (two teen boys) - are an open, easy going family and live in a lovingly renovated farmhouse with a large, wild and organic garden. Our passion as biologists / ecologists is to promote nature in all its diversity and beauty and to strengthen again our connection with the earth.

  Aide

  You can help us with gardening (sowing, tending, harvesting, storing), help with landscaping, minor renovations, painting, cooking (we are curious about the specialities of your country 😊) and much more. We are also open to your own ideas and skills with which you can enrich us and our surroundings.

  Our family language is Swiss German, but we speak fluent French and English – and little Spanish and Italian. Tim and Cedric would love to improve their English.

  Hébergement

  You live in a guest room with a double bed, a shared bathroom (we have 3 toilets and two showers). You can also share the guest room with a friend of yours or there is also enough space for a couple. Our house offers you many cosy possibilities to retreat and relax, both indoors and outdoors. In the workshop you will find lots of tools and wood at your disposal.
  If possible, we all eat together in the evening. We eat mostly vegetarian.

  Autres infos...

  There is a bus stop in front of our house. By public transport you can reach the capital Bern with its historic city centre and the city of Thun, the gateway to the Alps, within an hour. The mountains with their mountain lakes, glaciers, rocks and waterfalls are also within easy reach for hiking or action sports.
  On foot or by bike (you can use ours) you can always discover our beautiful hilly surroundings.
