Description
Hi, my name is Rossella, I’m 38 years old and I’m a dance therapist.
I was born in Sicily, but since I was 16 I’ve lived in different places in Italy (Turin, Milan, Crema, Puglia), always moving for work and life experiences. For many years I’ve been searching for my place in the world, and today my desire is to slowly reconnect with my roots and with the beauty of Sicilian nature and the sea.
I’m starting a very simple project in the Sicilian countryside, near Marsala. The house belonged to my grandmother and needs care, cleaning, maintenance and improvements, and above all creativity and love to become warmer and more welcoming. Together with volunteers, I’d like to slowly improve the space, starting from practical tasks, while keeping an artistic and human vision.
This place is surrounded by incredible natural beauty: the sea is close, with stunning beaches, light, wind, silence, and a deep sense of space and breath.
Movement and dance are at the heart of my life, and I’m happy to share moments of meditation, yoga, body awareness and creative practices, depending on the energy and wishes of the people who join.
This project is a dream in progress. It may grow, change shape, or stay small, depending on life, encounters and shared intentions. What matters to me is creating beauty — outside and inside — step by step, together.

Volunteers will have the chance to share work, creativity, and daily life in Marsala and Trapani.
In spring, summer, and autumn, we can explore the stunning nature around. In winter, we may enjoy discovering what sicilian cities and culture have to offer.

Workawayers will help me take care of and improve a habitable countryside house in Sicily, making it cleaner, more functional, and more beautiful step by step. This is a hands-on, practical project, perfect for people who enjoy working with their hands, fixing, painting, gardening, organizing, and creating tangible results.
Main activities may include:
Deep cleaning and organizing indoor spaces;
Removing old furniture and objects no longer useful;
Painting and decorating walls, doors, and rooms;
Small repairs and basic maintenance (DIY);
Gardening and caring for outdoor areas;
Artistic and creative touches to make the house warmer and welcoming;
Organizing storage areas and creating functional spaces.
I welcome volunteers who are skilled, practical, hands-on, and motivated to help make a dream come true. This is a unique opportunity to contribute actively to a creative, evolving project and to see the tangible results of your effort, leaving plenty of time to rest, explore the area, and enjoy the sea, nature, and local culture.

I studied English, French, and Spanish at high school, so I have a good basic foundation to communicate. I haven’t practiced regularly for many years, so I’m not fluent, but I would love to improve all three languages together with volunteers through daily life while sharing Italian and Sicilian language and culture with you.
Hébergement
Volunteers will have a clean and secure place to sleep. If there is only one volunteer, they will enjoy a private room. If there are multiple volunteers, rooms will be shared, as the house has a total of two bedrooms.
In winter, we also have the option to stay in another house of my parents, in Trapani.
Outside, there is a beautiful garden, where volunteers are welcome to set up tents, caravans, or campers. This makes it possible to stay comfortably if you are traveling with your own accommodation.
Food is not provided, so volunteers are asked to manage their own meals, but we can share cooking, meals, and simple moments together if desired.

House rules are simple: respect shared spaces, be mindful of others, and communicate openly. The project is flexible, collaborative, and evolving, so a positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to engage are essential.
Volunteers are welcome to bring their own musical instruments, art materials, or personal projects if they wish to contribute to the creative and well-being atmosphere of the house.

Outside, there is a garden where tents, campers, and motorhomes are welcome. There is space to park safely and enjoy the outdoor surroundings, making it possible to stay comfortably with your own accommodation.
