  Description

  Shared 10 acres Property in the Atherton Tablelands.
  
  We’re an easy-going middle aged couple (40 and 38), living our dream on a rural property. We are currently in the midst of setting up our veggie patches and fruit orchard and building animal shelters. We enjoy the outdoors and focus on sustainable living, love cooking with our own produce (Please note, we are just starting out at this property, therefore own produce is still to a limited avail, however we always love to get inspired by new meal ideas) :)
  
  'Great company and kicking back with a drink after a busy day’s work is right up our alley. Our neighbour friends which we share our workaway exchange with — a social, outdoorsy family (Teacher and Parks ranger) with three kids and a tiny fluffy dog and chickens. They are currently building their forever home on their block and therefore require some help to keep the ball rolling. We often get together for shared projects, meals, and laughs around the fire.

  Aide

  We need help with gardening projects, yard maintenance, basic building - chicken coop, goat shed etc as we are setting up our hobby farm. Also assisting with a house build. Therefore gardening or basic building experience is highly regarded, and an interest in permaculture or sustainable farming is a big plus.

  What We Offer:
  🏡 Private, detached bedroom with your own bathroom!. (Basic Outdoor kitchen set up with, kettle, airfryer and small fridge for your drinks and extra snacks :) Bedding ; A comfy queen futon and an additional either single mattress can be added if needed.
  🥐 Continental breakfast, light lunch, and a cooked dinner (Vegetarian options available, sorry we will not be able to cater for vegans.

  Own transport is highly desirable, as we are not close to public transport. Herberton is a tiny town and about 12min by car. Atherton and Malanda 25 minutes.
