  Description

  Hi, we live on a beautiful semi-rural property at Mount Tamborine, in Queensland. We love the beautiful trees, our wonderful garden, the many birds, growing much of our own food, and we are off grid. We have chickens and guinea fowl. We are mostly vegetarian. We enjoy meditation and yoga. One of us is retired, and one working part time and in our 60's. We live a laid back, simple life style, and enjoy life. We occasionally go to the ocean, and love the water. In our area there are rainforrest walks close by. Shops are within walking distance (a few kms). We are looking for workaways who are interested in gardening, growing and harvesting food, landscaping, nature and the quieter side of life, perhaps including meditation and yoga.We look forward to sharing our love of nature and life with you.

  We look forward to sharing gardening skills, cooking food, and living off grid. In our local area there is the Gold Coast near by. We regularly go to the North Stradbroke Island beaches. We regularly visit Brisbane.

  Aide

  Possible duties include working in the vegetable garden, pruning and tending to trees. Looking after the chickens and guineas. Mulching and weeding. Planting trees. Helping with cooking and sharing meals together. Most, if not all times we will be working together, though there is plenty of area , if people need their own space.

  Accommodation is in a separate flat, that has two bedrooms, kitchen and lounge. You can cook for yourselves, or we can cook together.
  You will need to keep your living space clean and tidy.
  There are also bedrooms available in the main house.

  In your time off, you can walk to nearby shops, wander in the national parks, relax in the garden, watch the birds. We regularly travel to Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
  House rules - clean up after yourself. No drugs, vapes or smoking. Be polite and respectful.
