… read more care and attention. During the days we were away in Germany, Lucia took care of our home and our dogs wonderfully, giving them all the love and attention they needed. She was truly invaluable! We also shared some lovely moments together: we went to the local strawberry fair in a nearby town and had so much fun (she even braided my hair! 😊), and one evening we went out to the pub and had a great time. We highly recommend Lucia to anyone looking for a reliable, cheerful, and caring volunteer. Our door will always be open for her! 💛

The dogs are so cute and sweet, and I have a wonderful time caring for them.
There was practically no work, and it was very easy and flexible during my time there.

… read more nuovo modo di vivere la vita, tramite i loro racconti. Deisy mi ha insegnato a prendermi cura di un gatto speciale, esigente e delicato ; Elio (gatto sphynx , razza molto particolare). L' accudimento giornaliero di Elio iniziava a riempire il mio cuore di prima mattina e durante le giornate aiutare a sgomberare e pulire l' intercapedine della casa e il giardino mi hanno dato molta soddisfazione. E' stato bello vedere tutto cambiato, ordinato e pulito. La loro casa è bellissima, grande e accogliente, chiunque si troverebbe bene, cè un grande calore dato soprattutto dalle cagnoline Maggie e cuba, adorabili. Ogni tanto facevo un giretto a Roma nel tempo libero ma stavo cosi bene con loro che spesso passavamo il tempo insieme uscendo insieme a mangiare qualcosa di buono li ai Castelli, tipo il gelato del centro del paese di Marino, il migliore al mondo e buonissimi panini con la porchetta che in quei posti è speciale. Henri and Deisy were the first people I met on arrival in Italy and staying with them was by far my favourite experience out of my trip.
I ended up catching the flu and they took good care of me by giving me medication, food supplies and we had the most fun time making ragu tagliatelle and lasagne together!

… read more difficult, mostly feeding the animals and keeping everything clean. The house was also clean and it was a pleasant place to stay. Though it is an hour public transport to the center of Rome, the transport was really easy (a bus to the metro, then metro to the city) and was very cheap!
