Description
After more than 20 years traveling the world studying healing traditions, I am now creating a
peaceful sanctuary in Mozambique where nature, wellness, and cultural exchange come
together.
About Our Project
Our project is a family-led initiative to restore and develop a peaceful space dedicated to wellness, nature, and cultural exchange in Mozambique.
This place is being created as a sanctuary where people can reconnect with nature, experience holistic practices, and learn about traditional healing wisdom from Africa and beyond.
The project is guided by me Maria, holistic wellness practitioner working internationally with massage therapy, meditation, yoga, herbal and energy healing. After many years of traveling and studying different healing traditions, i am now developing a space where people can slow down, restore their energy, and reconnect with themselves.
Alongside the wellness vision, we also support community awareness around indigenous healing knowledge and botanical preservation through small home gardens and cultural exchange.
Volunteers become part of this process by helping us bring the space to life.
Meaningful Travel Initiative
Our project is also part of an initiative called Meaningful Travel.
The idea is simple: travel can be more than tourism. It can be an exchange where people contribute to local projects while learning about culture, nature, and traditional knowledge.
Through this initiative we aim to:
• Support awareness of indigenous healing traditions
• Encourage botanical gardens that preserve traditional medicinal plants
• Create cultural exchange between travelers and local communities
• Promote a slower and more conscious way of traveling
Volunteers and visitors who join the project become part of this journey of learning, sharing, and building something meaningful together.
