Hi, would you like to join our family in the Stelvio National park and enjoy skiing or hiking while aupairing?
We are a family of 3 people, Patrizia, Daniele and our 14 aged son Filippo and 2 cats.
Recently Filippo also started raising some chickens!
Filippo is a very independent and active boy who likes many sports, especially biathlon, freestyle skiing and downhill cycling.
I (Patrizia) work in a bank but I am also a hiking guide as I love the outdoors and would like to show our beautiful area to everybody!
Daniele is a manager in his skifactory.
We live in a private house in Bormio, a small ski resort in the Italian alps. Bormio is a tourist town, 1200 meters above sea level in the Stelvio National Park, about 200 km northern to Milan, it is known for winter sports and hot thermal springs.
In February 2026 we had the winter Olympic games here! Ski slopes, an ice stadium, and also a thermal swimming pool are very closed to our house.
We are looking for a non smoker helper, preferably german mother tongue, with bubbly personality who helps us with a little housekeeping (laundry, dishwasher, tidy up) and cooking at lunch time.
We have been a workawayer host family since 2017 , we have hosted over 25 people from different countries and are still in touch with most of our guests.
We think that hosting young foreign people can be a very interesting cultural exchange and our purpose is also to practice a foreign language and give the opportunity to our guests to learn some italian if they are interested.
For us it is important to build a good connection to our guests and we consider them as members of the family .
We are active people and would give priority to a person who shares our passion for outdoor sports and will do our best to involve her in our free time activities.
Especially in the winter months we give priority to skiers.
We think it is important to share meals, to spend time together and would like to detox as much as possible from mobile phones and reconnect face to face.
For this reason we ask you to avoid using mobile phones or electronic devices during meals and especially when you are with Filippo. If your mobile phone is an extension of your arm, please don't apply for this position!
In the summer months we have a small garden where we produce our organic vegetables.
We are part of a purchasing group (a group of families who buy directly from producers with attention to sustainable products), we eat mostly organic food and have a high awareness for the environment and we appreciate if our guests behave in a sustainable way as well.
We’re not vegetarian but are willing to host vegetarians, it would be more difficult to host vegans as we often prepare meals with dairy products and eggs.
Unfortunately we cannot host somebody who is gluten intolerant.

You can learn Italian in the family, as in Bormio and surrounding there are no language schools for foreigners.

We are looking for a helper who is available to cook for lunch, to help doing little chores in the house some hours a day
We give priority to somebody who speaks English and / or German fluently, better mother tongue.

Hébergement
helper will be hosted in an independent small flat with wifi connection on the same level of our flat, and he/she'll be responsible for cleaning regularely (almost weekly) the flat he/she lives in
