  Description

  Hi there! We're a multilingual family based in Playa Paraíso, on the beautiful southwest coast of Tenerife. I run an online Italian language school, and at home we speak a mix of Italian, Spanish and German — we're raising our daughter to be comfortable in all three languages from day one.
  
  We're looking for a native English or German speaking babysitter to help us with our 2-month-old baby girl from 26th August to 6th September. We'd love someone warm, patient and experienced with newborns, who can spend time talking and singing to her in English or German so she starts picking up the sounds of the language early on.
  
  Playa Paraíso is a relaxed coastal town with a lovely seafront promenade, natural rock pools, and easy access to some of the best sunsets on the island. You'll have plenty of free time to enjoy the beach, explore nearby Los Gigantes cliffs, or take day trips around the island's volcanic landscapes. We're happy to share tips on the best local spots for food, hikes, and things to do on days off.
  
  If you love babies, enjoy island life, and want to practice your Spanish or Italian while sharing your own language with our little one, we'd love to hear from you!

  Staying with us means becoming part of a genuinely multilingual, multicultural household. Between us we speak Italian, Spanish and German fluently, and we're always curious to learn more about wherever our guests come from — their language, food, traditions, and everyday life back home.
  
  We'd love to share:
  
  Local life in Tenerife — the best beaches, viewpoints, and hidden spots around Playa Paraíso and the southwest coast, away from the touristy crowds
  A taste of Italian and Spanish culture — cooking together, everyday phrases, and the rhythm of life on the island
  
  In return, we're hoping to pick up more everyday English or German through natural conversation — the kind of learning that happens more easily through daily life than through textbooks. We enjoy sharing meals together, chatting about our different backgrounds,etc.

  Aide

  We're looking for help with our 2-month-old baby girl for the period 26th August – 6th September. Ideally you're a native English or German speaker, since we'd love for her to be exposed to your language through everyday interaction — talking, singing, reading simple books aloud — while we keep the Italian and Spanish side covered ourselves.
  
  Day-to-day, the help would mainly involve:
  Keeping our daughter company and engaged during the day (holding, walking, playing, singing)
  Helping with naps and the daily routine (feeding schedules will be explained in detail)
  Light support during outings — walks along the seafront, short errands, etc.
  
  We're a relaxed, multilingual household, so if you're curious about Italian, Spanish or how a small language school runs day-to-day, we're happy to chat and share along the way. In return, we can help you practice Spanish or Italian, and give you plenty of local tips for beaches, hikes, and things to do around Tenerife on your time off.
  
  We aim to keep the arrangement fair and manageable — reasonable daily hours with proper time off, in line with the spirit of the European au pair guidelines, and we're happy to discuss expectations openly before confirming anything.
  
  Both of us are at home while the Workawayer is looking after our daughter. We both work from home.
  
  For meals: We provide lunch and dinner together monday-friday. The Workawayer will have breakfast at her depandance/room at our costs. She has a room with bathroom and kitchen. During the weekend, on saturday and sunday, we don't provide lunch and dinner, so the Workawayer will have lunch and dinner at his/her costs at home or outside.

  Hébergement

  You'll have your own private studio in the garden, separate from the main house — around 30 m², with a comfortable bed, its own small kitchen, and a private bathroom with shower. It's a clean, self-contained space where you can relax and have full privacy during your time off.
  
  During the day, while helping with our daughter, you'll be with us in the main house, sharing meals and everyday family life. Once your working hours are done, you have your own space to retreat to and enjoy some independence.
  
  You're welcome to use the shared facilities too, including the laundry room and the swimming pool. As for food, meals will be shared with the family during the day, and you'll also have your own kitchen in the studio to prepare anything extra whenever you like.
  
  3 meals per day provided. Info: breakfast in your own apartment (at our costs) and lunch and dinner are with the family.
