  Our daycare center is an educational and social project that provides a safe, loving, and stimulating space for children from vulnerable families, such as single-mother households, dysfunctional families, or those experiencing domestic violence, among other social realities. We support their holistic development through play, education, and daily care, offering support to both the children and their families.

  Somos una familia comprometida con el bienestar y desarrollo integral de la niñez. Lideramos un proyecto educativo y social a través de una guardería, donde brindamos un espacio seguro, amoroso y formativo para niños y niñas, al mismo tiempo que apoyamos a familias trabajadoras de la comunidad.   You'll spend time with the children, participate in games and activities, and contribute your ideas and talents. You'll also learn about our customs, enjoy life in a rural area, and be surrounded by nature. 🌿🇨🇷 It's important that you speak Spanish, as it's the language we use at the daycare. You'll also be able to share your culture, language, and experiences with us. It will be an opportunity to learn, work as a team, and take home wonderful memories of Costa Rica and the little ones.
  
  Vas a compartir con los niños, participar en juegos y actividades, y aportar tus ideas y talentos.
  También podrás conocer nuestras costumbres, disfrutar de la vida en una zona rural y estar rodeado de mucha naturaleza. 🌿🇨🇷
  Es importante que hablés español, ya que es el idioma que utilizamos en la guardería. Además, podrás compartir tu cultura, tu idioma y tus experiencias con nosotros.
  Será una oportunidad para aprender, trabajar en equipo y llevarte bonitos recuerdos de Costa Rica y de los pequeños.

  Every day we spend time with energetic children eager to learn. 💚 We're looking for volunteers who want to help us and spend time with the children in activities such as: accompanying and caring for the children; playing games and recreational activities; engaging them through crafts, music, dance, and storytelling; and supporting the teachers in their daily tasks. If you love children and want to have a wonderful experience in Costa Rica, we'd love to have you join our team! 🇨🇷

  We live about 10 minutes by car from the daycare, on an organic farm surrounded by nature. My 9-year-old son, my parents, and I live here, each in our own space. The accommodation is a mini-apartment that includes: 🛏️ 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each. 🚿 Bathroom. 🍳 Small kitchen with a gas stove. ☕ Kettle and coffee maker. 🍽️ Dishes, cups, and cutlery. We ask that you keep your spaces clean and tidy. The farm is a quiet area where you can observe birds, toucans, macaws, and, with luck, sloths. We also have bicycles to explore some nearby places. Occasionally, we can offer transportation by minibus for an additional cost to cover fuel, depending on our availability. As we are in a rural area, it is normal to find insects and small animals. We recommend bringing insect repellent and comfortable clothing. We want you to get to know the place before you arrive and enjoy your experience with us. 🌿

  Vivimos a unos 10 minutos en carro de la guardería, en una finca orgánica rodeada de naturaleza. Aquí vivimos mi hijo de 9 años, mis padres y yo, cada uno en su espacio.
  
  El alojamiento es un miniapartamento que cuenta con:
  🛏️ 2 habitaciones con 2 camas individuales cada una.
  🚿 Baño.
  🍳 Cocina pequeña con cocinita de gas.
  ☕ Hervidor de agua y coffee maker.
  🍽️ Platos, tazas y cubiertos.
  
  Les pedimos mantener limpios y ordenados sus espacios.
  
  La finca es una zona tranquila donde se pueden observar aves, tucanes, lapas y, con suerte, perezosos. También tenemos bicicletas para conocer algunos lugares cercanos.
  
  En ocasiones podemos ofrecer transporte en buseta con un costo adicional por combustible, según nuestra disponibilidad.
  
  Como estamos en una zona rural, es normal encontrar insectos y pequeños animales. Les recomendamos traer repelente y ropa cómoda.
  
  Queremos que conozcan el lugar antes de venir y que disfruten su experiencia con nosotros. 🌿

  In addition to spending time with the children, you'll have free time to explore the area, visit rivers and waterfalls, hike, and enjoy nature. We have bicycles available for you to use, and occasionally, depending on availability, we can give you a ride in our van. We only ask for a small contribution towards fuel costs. The volunteer work is Monday through Friday, 5 hours a day, and weekends are free. We'd prefer you start on a Monday so you can meet the team and get organized from the beginning of the week. Most of the work involves interacting with the children through games, crafts, music, dancing, storytelling, and outdoor activities. We encourage volunteers to take initiative and suggest activities. Before you begin, we'll explain how we work to help you feel more comfortable. It's important that you speak Spanish, as it's the language we use daily with the children and the team. We ask that you wear comfortable clothing suitable for working with children, preferably not too short or low-cut, as we also interact with families and other visitors. The most important thing is to be willing to help, be responsible, and maintain a good relationship with everyone. During your stay, we provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. The food is the same as what the children at the daycare receive. We don't prepare special menus for vegetarians, vegans, or people with other dietary restrictions, but if you need something different, you can buy and prepare your own food. Accommodation is at our family farm, located about 10 minutes by car from the daycare. We have a laundry area, and we only ask that you conserve water, as we strive to protect the natural resources of our farm. Airport transfers are the responsibility of each volunteer, so it's important to arrange this in advance. We want you to not only help us but also learn about our customs, enjoy nature, and take away a wonderful experience of Costa Rica. 💚
  
  Además de compartir con los niños, vas a tener tiempo libre para conocer la zona, visitar ríos y cataratas, caminar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Tenemos bicicletas que podés utilizar y, en algunas ocasiones, podemos llevarte en nuestra buseta, dependiendo de nuestra disponibilidad. Solo pedimos una colaboración para el combustible.
  
  El voluntariado es de lunes a viernes, 5 horas al día, y los fines de semana son libres. Nos gustaría que empezaras un lunes para que podás conocer al equipo y organizarte desde el inicio de la semana.
  
  La mayor parte del trabajo consiste en compartir con los niños mediante juegos, manualidades, música, baile, cuentos y actividades al aire libre. Nos gusta que los voluntarios tengan iniciativa y propongan actividades. Antes de comenzar, te explicamos cómo trabajamos para que te sintás más cómodo.
  
  Es importante que hablés español, ya que es el idioma que usamos diariamente con los niños y el equipo.
  
  Te pedimos venir con ropa cómoda y adecuada para trabajar con niños, preferiblemente no demasiado corta ni escotada, porque también compartimos con las familias y otras personas que nos visitan. Lo más importante es tener ganas de ayudar, ser responsable y mantener una buena convivencia con todos.
  
  Durante tu estancia te ofrecemos desayuno, almuerzo y una merienda por la tarde. La alimentación es la misma que reciben los niños de la guardería. No preparamos menús especiales para vegetarianos, veganos o personas con otras restricciones alimentarias, pero si necesitás algo diferente, podés comprar y preparar tus propios alimentos.
  
  El alojamiento es en nuestra finca familiar, ubicada a unos 10 minutos en carro de la guardería. Contamos con un espacio para lavar la ropa y solo te pedimos cuidar el agua, ya que procuramos proteger los recursos naturales de nuestra finca.
  
  El traslado desde y hacia el aeropuerto corre por cuenta de cada voluntario, por lo que es importante organizarlo con anticipación.
  
  Queremos que, además de ayudarnos podás conocer nuestras costumbres, disfrutar de la naturaleza y llevarte una bonita experiencia de Costa Rica. 💚

Aunque nuestra experiencia en esta modalidad es aún limitada, ya hemos tenido la oportunidad de recibir a un voluntario que viajó desde Estados Unidos en su propio vehículo, lo cual fue una experiencia positiva y enriquecedora para ambas partes.
