Hi,
Welcome to our friendly and peaceful home🤗🦜
We’re looking for one or two people interested in helping with gardening and/ or house cleaning. If you have handy skills and experience painting that would be great but not essential.
We live on a peaceful 7 acre property 15 minutes drive to Jimboomba (1 hour south of Brisbane) with my twin daughters (17) and our large friendly dog Bentley and his friend Quincy the cat😄
I‘ve lived and travelled a lot overseas and in Australia and would love to hear your travel stories.
I enjoy healthy eating, meditation, outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, kayaking, camping and also card games.
We try to live in a positive, joyful and compassionate way (which is sometimes challenged by my lovely typical teenage daughters who are also both working part time at the local fast food restaurant🤪)
We live on beautiful peaceful 7 acres in the countryside with lots of space, trees and native animals, a lovely pool for the warmer months and outdoor fire pits and an indoor fire place for the winter, plenty of hammocks, decks and places to chill or just enjoy the sounds of birds and nature.
If you need a break from travelling and sharing noisy backpacker rooms or want some nature time this might be just right for you🤣
You will have your own furnished room,
3 meals a day and share a bathroom with my daughters when they’re home.
We have Starlink wifi in the house and Optus and Vodaphone mobile phones work but not Telstra Mobile phones.
We are located in beautiful countryside surrounded by farms 60km south of Brisbane and 65km west of the Gold Coast (each about 1 HOUR BY CAR away). The nearest towns for shopping are Jimboomba and Beaudesert each 15 min away by car.
There are many wonderful places nearby to explore if you have your own car including rain forest, water falls, markets, places for cycling, hiking, kayaking and SUPing.
Or you can walk or cycle from our house in our neighbourhood with big hills for a great workout💪😄.
I also have yoga mats, dumbbells and a rowing machine you can use.
There are also many beautiful beaches 1 hour drive away.
If you don’t have a car I’m happy to pick you up from the closest train station.

You can experience Australian country living with native animals like kangaroos and many birds. If you have a car you can borrow my kayaks, SUP board & enjoy some water time at a lake 30min away.
We have lots of hills around which are great for fitness - walking, jogging or cycling. You can borrow a bicycle as well. -

Mitja and Lara arrived with perfect timing when we needed a house sitter and animal sitter.
They did a wonderful job looking after our horse, 2 dogs, cat and chicken. They also did a great job with some chores around the house and garden.
They also cooked a very nice dinner and dessert.
We would have loved them to stay much longer!

We had such a good time at Petra's place! She welcomed us at really last minute and made us feel comfortable immediately! unfortunately we just had a few days, looking after the house and animals and did some small jobs for her, but we can definitely recommended :)

Charlotte and her friend Roxie stayed with us for about 2 weeks. They were very hard-working, friendly and independent. They cooked delicious dinners, cleaned the house, did some gardening and cleaning our decks. We were very happy to have them stay and help us and would highly recommend them to anyone.
