  Description

  We would like the help of volunteers with various tasks in the fields, such as gardening, clearing fields, pruning. Also some housekeeping would be welcomed!!!!
  All fruits or goods we are collecting from our fields or gardens are used only for our family's consumption and we are not selling them.
  
  Accommodation is in Volissos, in an apartment fully equipped for all needs (kitchen, bathroom, with towels and sheets). We offer accommodation, breakfast, fruit, snacks for coffee break and one meal a day. The transfer from the city of Chios (port or airport) can be done either by public bus or by arrangement between a host-volunteer. The transfer to the fields is done by our car.
  It should be noted that the work offered by the volunteers is not at a professional basis. It is for our family needs only.
  The fields are located in the northwest of Chios Island. Around the area, there are small picturesque villages and the largest of them is Volissos (old medieval village with about 300 inhabitants).
  There is a doctor's office, pharmacy, post office, ATM, mini market. In the surrounding area, there are many beautiful trails for those who love nature exploration, historical medieval monuments with a long history and the place where the volunteers are hosted is near to the sea.
  In Chios Island in general a volunteer can learn and see many things (history through the ages, wine and mastic cultivation, museums e.t.c.
  We can also accept couples of volunteers.
  We accept dogs but not cats.
  We will be happy to host you and give you further information.

  First of all, they travel to a large island in Greece, which is not known for the entertainment of tourists, but mainly for gaining experiences and knowledge about its history, culture, traditions and lifestyle of the inhabitants. For those interested there are many historical monuments, also special local cuisine. The history and cultivation of mastic (visit Museum for Mastic) and also of the famous Chios wine (visit winery). Also, those who love hiking can enjoy exploration of some traditional paths around the area. On the other hand, we also want to know about life in the countries where the volunteers come from, their customs and daily habits (their food, their jobs, their history, their music).

  Aide

  The volunteers will help us with our farmstay tasks. All fruits or goods we are collecting from our fields or gardens are used only for our family's consumption and we are not selling them. The fields are located mainly on hill slopes in northwestern Chios and transport is by car. The weather is usually mild, but you need to be dressed in light but warm clothes. When the weather is not good or it is raining we do not go to the fields.

  Volunteers will stay in Volissos village, in a fully furnished apartment with its own bathroom, kitchen with all kitchen utensils, hot water and heating and we will provide them with all the linen
