My boyfriend and I are so grateful to have met Lynne and Graeme. We just arrived in Australia when we started our workaway at their place and they helped us a lot with our "starter pack" here !
They are very friendly couple who connect us with a lot of people, allowing us to find a job very quickly.
Besides that, we had opportunities to help
… read more with various tasks like gardening, landscaping, a bit of painting and outdoors chores. Was great to be able to change according to the weather/feelings. Graeme is very patient and took time to explain/teach everything.
We also enjoyed some nice diner together, great chat with a background music and one of the best view ! Sunsets are amazing here.
We keep in touch and will see around !

If your going to the Western part of Australia, more specific Ferguson Valley, then Graeme and Lynn's place are a must visit for workawayers. Here you will find the most generous couple, that provide great hospitality. At the time we stayed there, only Graeme was home to keep us busy and busy he kept us ;) When we weren't working we enjoy the
… read more lovely surroundings, bushwalking or visiting the local winery, going shopping with Graeme or meeting the most wholesome community of people living in Ferguson Valley. Fanny & Gaetan are a lovely hard working couple and a pleasure to have stay with us. They have a great work ethic, are prepared to learn new tasks and are quick on the uptake. They took on a range of gardening, building, painting and cleaning tasks, all completed in a timely and efficient manner.

It was our first experience as workawayers and we could’nt hope for better! We had a wonderful time with Lynn and Graeme. They are really generous and took time to show us the neighborhood and also Bunbury. We did some gardening and landscaping work with Graeme. He took time to teach us everything. We shared great lunchs and dinners with them
… read more talking about music, travels and everything we like. They gave us good advices for the rest of out trip. Moreover, Ferguson valley is a really nice area where you can run, chill or visit wineries and breweries.

We had a great time hanging out in the beautiful Ferguson valley with Graeme and Lynn. They were both so hospitable and we will never forget Lynn bringing us great curry dinners in a picnic basket every night. Had a few great dinners together and got to hear about their travels and about geology and the mining industry. In the mornings we worked
… read more on a variety of landscaping projects like building planter boxes and laying pavers along with some general gardening. We loved listening to all of the ridiculous bird calls and seeing herds of kangaroos in the surrounding paddocks every day. It only took a couple hours for Graeme to connect us to a huge local network of people in the area who had work for us in the evenings allowing us to make some money on the side which was really helpful for us broke backpackers.
