  Description

  Looking for dog-sitting help in December! I will be away from 13th - 30th. If you would like to spend a peaceful Christmas off-grid in nature, not far from the coast, with two sweet dogs for company, let me know :-)

  I am Rosie, living with my dogs on a beautiful piece of land on the Silver Coast in Portugal. I will be renovating the old ruin slowly but surely, and in the meantime I live in a converted shipping container and a yurt. I am fully off-grid with a solar set-up and water storage. I have two dogs, Toady and Farusco, who spend their time playing outside, napping in the shade and chasing lizards. I am currently looking for cabin/yurt/dog sitters for various dates in Autumn/Winter . You will have the place to yourself and I will cover your expenses (cash towards food).

  You will experience daily life on a small, off grid set up. Perhaps you have a dream of starting a similar project and would like to dip a toe first! Or maybe you would just like to spend some time amongst the trees, reading, writing, working on your own projects... or doing not much at all... :-)

  During housesits, we only ask that you take care of the dogs and water a few plants. No skills needed but you will need an enthusiasm for outdoor/off-grid living - and for looking after two playful, friendly young dogs.

  Hébergement

  Bedroom - yurt, with a proper bed. If you prefer to come with your own van, that's fine too.
  
  Kitchen/living room - converted shipping container with basic kitchen facilities (proper hob and oven but no fridge!) /sofas/books/electric plugs
  
  Shower - manual 'farmers' shower, hot but only 10 litres.
  
  Toilet - compost loo

  20 mins from the lagoon - walking, cycling, birdwatching, swimming
  25 mins from the sea - surfing, swimming,
  1 hour from Lisbon and the airport :-)
