  Description

  We are located in the Tarn - department 81 (southwest) of France. We are 10 km from the nearest town, 4 km from the nearest village. We are only suitable for people who have their own transportation as there isn't any public service near us.
  
  **All of the openings that we have are PAID POSITIONS** In accordance with French law, we will pay at least minimum wage for all work done. If you are skilled in the building trades, we are happy to discuss what a fair hourly wage would be.
  
  With the Chateau under renovation - we are at a point of the project where I really only have a need for someone who is an experienced painter. If you are skilled at wallpapering, I have space for you :)
  
  As we go along, (Spring / Summer of 2026) I will be looking for someone to help with cleaning / housekeeping and a significant amount of landscaping / grounds work. On the landscaping side of things, again - I am looking for someone with experience.
  
  A bit about the chateau: In 1440, Gabriel de Monestiés was lord of the barony of Trévien, vassal of the bishops of Albi. The château dates from the 15th and 16th centuries, and was built by the Castelpers family, one of whose members married Yolande de Monestiés.

  Aide

  The castle hasn't been lived in for years and I am looking for several people to help with a number of projects. It is a large castle, lots of rooms, there are a lot of painting projects (either by hand or with a sprayer if you know how to use one) and we are planning on a number of wallpapering projects. Along with that, wall repair, and masonry, as everything is built in stone.
  
  The gardens have been let go for a number of years and need to be brought back as well - but this is likely a task for 2026.
  
  This is a paid position according to French law. The applicant must have a right to work in the EU. The position includes in house accommodation. We are not able to assist anyone with getting a Visa.

  Each person will have a private room fully furnished with bed and bath linens provided. The bathroom is shared with another person and is down the hall.
  
  The kitchen is shared and you have access to our laundry room.

  We are just a couple miles from a large lake, in a beautiful region of France with walking trails and bicycle routes. Surrounded by charming medieval villages, there is much to enjoy about our area.
  
  Our location is suitable for people who have their own transportation. We are 4 km from the closest village and 10 km from a good sized town. You really need your own transportation in our area. It gives you the freedom to explore the region on your days off.
