Description
I live in a big restored house on the Tuscan Umbrian border, where we moved from Scotland over 20 years ago. The little town is called Cortona, a medieval hill top town full of inviting restaurants and nooks sand hidden crannies.
I've brought up my 3, now grown up children here, and my husband often works away. I'm therefore often alone trying to close pools, pick olives, do my huge and wild garden, and as I'm a ski instructor in the winter, my time is super limited.
I'm 60 years old and love living my life to the full. I play tennis, am a gym bunny, love red wine, loud music, being sociable, laughing and sharing my good fortune with others.
In short, I welcome help in my garden, especially at this, olive time. This is simply a garden 'help' as we are not a business, simply a wild private residence with 50/60 olive trees.
I will treat you as special guests, cook and look after you, if you can afford me some manpower around the house.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

For over 20 years I've been here...I speak great Italian, my grown kids may also be around. Our house is fairly international, we love world music and random dancing. We are a bit madcap, and our house is known for a good fun vibe. You must have a sense of humour and good banter!!
We work hard too..rewards come only after a good day's work. Evenings we are out and about for aperitivo and dinner, or chilling at home with good food, a big fire and a cracking film or series.
Very relaxed.

The seasons are paramount in Tuscany. Each season offers a different experience in terms of learning, understanding and being culturally aware of how the land governs the people. Never is this more obvious than in olive season. If you really want to see the agricultural culture of Tuscany, learn through this opportunity to pick olives. It's much more than simply picking, it's the nets, the camaraderie, the workers lunches, the olive press experience itself. It's the satisfaction of the bright green peppery oil finally being produced, the decanting into urns, the bottling, the tastings, and the air heavy with the smell of fresh olive oil. Tuscan oil is DOC labelled and being part of the process links you to the land like nothing else.
The olive picking I am looking for help with is purely for personal use.Langues
