  Description

  This year I need help around 15 July -20 august. ..in Eskifjörður
  
  We are Slovaks living in the fjords of eastern Iceland, specifically in Eskifjörður. We have two mixed-breed Border Collies.
  
  We love to travel, but we’re usually held back by the question of who will take care of at least one of our furry friends, who are part of the family. We always have a spot for one, but it’s harder for the older one, who is already 8 years old—she’s afraid of people and resists being with barking, which isn’t exactly welcome in Iceland… so we need someone who knows what they’re doing and will follow our instructions, because we’ve learned to live with this problem.
  
  We’ve been working here for over 10 years and have a two-story house with a large garden, and I also have many flowers that need watering. We’re mostly looking for someone for one month—someone who needs a break and loves hiking, because eastern Iceland has plenty to offer.

  There’s a really nice swimming pool in Eskifjörður. It’s not covered, so you can go sunbathe 🙂.
  We’ll have a car, so there will be plenty of opportunities for hiking. We’re in the center of the village, so it won’t be hard to socialize—or, on the other hand, to completely get away from it all.

  Aide

  Caring for one or possibly two dogs. The older one is named Arya; she’s afraid of people, especially men, but once she gets past her initial five minutes of distrust, she’s the most affectionate little playmate you could ask for. We tried to solve the problem, but we were told that she simply chooses for herself who she accepts. So we more or less avoid people; she can handle dogs on her own right away. When a dog is nearby, she ignores people unless they absolutely want to pet her... The second is her daughter, who is 2 years old and very energetic. She barks because she’s euphoric, and she often barks because… her mom barks 🤣, but we usually have her dog-sitting arranged with her friend Luna.

  We’ll have a room with a large bed ready for you... Our house is 100 square meters and the garden is about 1,000 square meters; the house is fully equipped... All you need to bring are your clothes and personal items.
