April 1st-Sat 7th...
We live in the center of Ireland -a perfect place to visit the entire country from. We enjoy growing our own food and also have big plans for putting some order on our old house and flower garden but with jobs and children taking up time we need your Help! We live in a part of rural yet central Ireland called Clara and our property backs onto an EU protected raised bog which is nice for walking. There are plenty of places to visit nearby and Dublin and Galway are only an hour away on the train.

Irish culture and heritage, gardening skills. In addition to the workawaying, I am willing to do conversation exchanges (your language in front of my kids, intensive English sessions once they are in bed! I am a qualified primary school teacher and linguist :-)).

A cubicle bedroom - basic as the house needs complete redecoration but recently plumbed, wired and insulated. Peaceful countryside location.

We would prefer someone who is environmentally aware and has previous work of doing major overhauls of gardens or homes. It is a big project! Please let me know if you have particular building or gardening skills or experience. Thank you!

I stayed with Alanna and her family for about three weeks over July-August 2016. It was an absolutely wonderful experience!! I had a lot of autonomy and was able to complete tasks throughout the day. Abby is practical, hard working and a problem solver yet discreet and modest too. Reliable on every level. She did fantastic work with my two horses and was a pleasure to host. She also won the hard earned favour of my two boys. We enjoyed her company greatly and hope our paths will cross again in the future.

Carlos was recommended to us by a fellow farmer. He proved himself to be a dedicated and skilled worker who made useful suggestìons and had good attention to detail. He is easy going and can turn his hand to anything from chopping or sawing Wood to tiling and painting to cutting grass and cleaning the hen house. He is also a builder and… read more

My first experience was so well, I stayed 3 months and 2 weeks. The work is not complicate and the environment is beautiful. Alanna and her family are very kind, open, wich makes you feel easily comfortable.

My stay at Alanna's house was very enjoyable. The coexistence with Alana and the rest of volunteers was very positive, the agreed working hours were made, and all the conditions that we had agreed with Alanna.
The house is in a wonderful place and if you like animals and a quiet place, it is the ideal job

Jofre spent a few weeks with us before returning home for Christmas. He is a good natured and pleasant young man with better English than I expected. He is willing to attempt a wide array of tasks and works best in a team. I wish him all the best. Alanna

Many thanks to Alanna and her wonderful family for letting me stay at her house. It was my first experience as a workaway and I was delighted! I learned many things in the almost 2 months that I stayed in his house.

Maria helped us out in the garden and lent a hand with minding the children also. She is very trustworthy and was always happy to give of her best to whatever jobs the day presented with. She was able to communicate well with the children as well and is missed here! We wish her the best of luck.
