Description
The Hostel is managed by the biggest environmental organisation of Italy. The building is situated on a small mountain, at 750m osl. In 2013 our local entity decided to start a new adventure and run an environmental business taking care of the structure that had been abandoned, all the income of our eco-hostel is reinvested in other projects to promote a sustainable way of living to fight climate crisis.
Here we are now, after more than ten years, managing a sustainable hostel. It hosts many families, groups and schools from different parts of Italy and the world. But since we always try to improve, the help of Workawayers is vital to have new energies and a good atmosphere.
The hostel is not only the centre of our association, but also an occasion for us, our guests and Workawayers to grow, learn and teach something to each other. -

This is the perfect experience for someone wanting to live out of the world but in good company, with the challenge of the lowest impact and a creative mind!
We are a group of young workers, travellers and students ready to share it all with you and to learn more.
We have some days when we work a lot and some others in which we can dedicate ourselves to other small projects. So the schedule isn't fixed, but we like to organise it together with Workawayers.
There's a lot to learn, a lot to see and more to discover! -
Aide
We need volunteers willing to help at the hostel during the day and staying overnight for a period of at least two months (better 3 months). The help will be mainly cleaning, preparing the rooms for guests and groups. But weekly tasks include taking care of the apartment where we live, taking care of small and creative projects, share experiences and ideas, anything else that could help the hostel become a better, more sustainable and welcoming place!

Hébergement
The volunteers live in two shared rooms with bunk beds and in a shared flat. The apartment is fully furnished of everything and food is provided (VEG). We usually cook and eat all together. We are pretty much all vegetarians and vegans! We have two bathrooms in the apartment and a big living room where we gather and share spare time.
The hostel is in the middle of a protected park, so we have plenty of space for hikes and walks in nature.
It is a quite isolated place even if friends often come visit.
There is no public transportation to come here: this means that to reach the hostel volunteers use car pooling or they walk to reach the closest town and facilities (around 45 minutes walk).
We are surrounded by a beautiful landscape, in the middle of natural parks, mountains and lakes. -

The time with Noemi was just fun and great, it's a pity that she didn't stay longer! :D
She likes to clean and wash the dishes (crazy but true!) and does every task precisely and with a smile.

The Ostello and the people are great.
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming when I came that I directly felt well with them.
