    Description

***PLEASE READ OUR PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING***

We are currently closed for renovations before the season starts. It is hot and rainy at the moment which means there are millions of mosquitos. It takes a while to get used to being here and insect repellent is a must. You MUST be physically fit and able to handle the heat.

We are NOT looking for help with marketing, online strategy, yoga teachers, hospitality, cooking, or taking workshops. At the moment the work is hot and sticky. We are landscaping, clearing jungle, constructing walls, moving rocks, chopping logs, clearing leaves, painting walls and moving heavy furniture.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are a yoga and healing centre in the Mayan Jungle near Tulum, Mexico. We host retreats for organized groups with a leader/ teacher.

We look for sustainable and nature friendly ways to live and run the business. Most of our electricity is powered by solar panels, our water is pumped from natural wells, we are beginning to plant a vegetable garden and fruit trees. Right now we are expanding our facilities with more comfortable rooms, fresh paint, new fences, planting, refreshing the garden, building new pathways, raised beds and further down the line, a natural pool and a garden that could provide most of the food for our guests, staff and volunteers. We have immediate tasks for people who are skilled with garden clearance, landscaping and building jobs (concrete, bamboo, wood).

We are deep in the jungle so experience or knowledge of this type of living and working is key. At the present moment, we have no guests and are renovating during the hot, low season. The jungle is steamy and sweaty and full of interesting creatures such as tarantulas, scorpions, monkeys, snakes, mosquitoes and even the odd jaguar. Some jobs can be challenging and not for the faint-hearted and other tasks are lighter as you would expect!

We are a 3km walk from the main road where you can catch a 'collectivo' (shared taxi) into Tulum (another 15km) for around $35 (€1.50). One group of volunteers bought bicycles and rented a car and shared the costs so they could get around and experience this magical place.

Experience pure harmony with nature. Grow with us.

There is no living without action, so let's make our actions conscious.

Travelers will get to experience jungle life: see monkeys in the trees, iguanas and various lizards passing by on the ground; experience beautiful sky at night. Learn how to chill with bugs, spiders and scorpions. Learn how to build, carrying a project from the ground, upwards. Tropical and conscious gardening. Develop your artistic eye. Learn to be observant and look after yourself and the space. We also enjoy activities like yoga, working out, musical jams and singing.

Near the site there are over 20 cenotes (swimming, diving), a local restaurant and shop. Tulum is easily accessible by shared 'collectivo', bus or taxi (18km away) There are many beaches nearby and the Mayan ruins.
