Description
Morena :) Welcome to New Zealand .
We are a family of two. I live with my adult son (mid 20s) who works nearby. We are both active and walk our dog daily, swim and surf, hike and bike, and like to enjoy exploring the area as we only moved here from auckland recently. We eat very healthy meals with lots of salad veges and bbq. My son has taken up fishing and has been known to bring home dinner.
Mangawhai is both outdoor adventure and country rolled up into one. You can walk to the ocean beach and the estuary from our home. There are many great walks and hikes that you can reach from the house also.
People here are incredibly friendly. -

We have lived and world in many countries around the world so we know the challenges of traveling to new places. We don’t speak any other languages but I do have some very low level French capability- happy to practice.
We can share our knowledge of NZ and Australia where we lived for 13 years in great detail. I also know SE Asia, UK and Europe reasonably well.
I have worked for decades in business. I have SaaS platform that keeps me very busy which is why getting some help around the house works be wonderful. We are both very technology literate and love to talk about opportunities. -
Aide
Our project can include house duties and cleaning, light gardening, car and window washing, a little painting of garden fences, and similar projects. If you have handyman skills I’d like to build a few steps in the garden.
We would like a youthful individual with a positive outlook and wants to be part of the community. We do not expect you to spend all day with us, but we will invite you to join in activities when appropriate.
We have a large home with fantastic ocean views and a large lawn to enjoy the sunshine.
There is plenty of off street parking.
We worked discuss times for the 4-5 hours of help but probably 9 or 10 am start time. After that you are free to do your own thing. -

Hébergement
Private room - large bed with afternoon Sunshine. Share bathroom. Access to the living spaces and outdoor areas.
We usually have a continental style breakfast and I make sourdough bread twice a week. We eat lots of salad and veges and like stir fry and we use the bbq more when the weather is good. We will try to share the evening meal…we cook for you or with you when possible, and will leave ingredients for you cook your own if we are out. Lunch food is available too but we don’t have a routine of eating lunch so you would help yourself. -

Peppa (5 ans)
Peppa is a very social family pet who likes a daily walk and a swim. She is easy and will be your friend within 5 minutes. She is a great comfort and likes visitors.
