Description
I live in a great spot right in the center of CDMX. I lead recruiting for a major tech company, so my days are pretty high output. When I'm not working, I'm either training or up in the mountains, hiking is my main way to reset.
I’m looking for a sociable, easygoing traveler who wants a genuine local experience. I need about 20 hours of help a week, mostly focused on two things: food and my dog.
First, I’d love someone to take over the kitchen. That means hitting the local markets, managing the grocery runs, and cooking healthy meals. If you enjoy cooking and want to share dishes from your home country, this is the perfect setup. Second is Hati, my Alaskan Malamute. He’s a big, energetic boy who needs daily walks and lots of attention, so you absolutely have to be a dog person.
In exchange, you get a comfortable room in one of the best neighborhoods in the city, and I cover the groceries for our meals. But I also want this to be a real exchange. Since I do tech recruiting for a living, I’m more than happy to sit down, tear apart your resume, and give you some real-world career and interview coaching. I can also help you practice your English and Spanish, show you the non-touristy side of the city, and introduce you to some genuinely good mezcal.
If you're proactive, like good food, and want a relaxed home base in Mexico City, shoot me a message and let's see if we're a good fit.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
I offer a mix of professional mentorship and authentic local immersion. Since I lead recruiting for a major tech company here in Mexico, I can sit down with you to review your resume, run mock interviews, and give you high-level career and professional coaching.
On the cultural side, I’ll show you how to experience CDMX like a local, far away from the usual tourist bubbles. We can do a language exchange to sharpen your English or Spanish, explore the real local markets, and I'll introduce you to some genuinely good artisanal mezcal.

Hébergement
You will have your own private, secure room in my apartment located in Colonia Juárez—a very safe, central neighborhood right by Paseo de la Reforma and walking distance to Roma Norte. It is a clean, well-maintained space that serves as my quiet base away from work.
For food, I cover the cost of all basic groceries for the house. Since taking charge of the kitchen is your primary contribution, you will be managing the grocery runs and cooking our shared meals. I maintain a clean, high-protein diet to support my training and health goals, so we will coordinate the weekly market runs around those parameters. Within that, you will have plenty of freedom to get creative and introduce me to your favorite dishes!
