  Description

  We live in São Mamede - very close to Fátima. We have a lovely multilevel house with 2 very sweet (and entertaining) dogs. Hank loves balls, and Madi loves taking balls away from Hank. The village of São Mamede has some incredible caves nearby that you can visit, plus bakeries, cafes, and many trails through the woods! Fátima is also within walking distance, and in fact, many people walk through São Mamede on their way to visit Fátima as part of their personal journeys (or pilgrimages or hikes).

  We are Americans learning Portuguese and very interested in opportunities to learn Portuguese. We speak some Spanish and would love to improve our Spanish, too! We'd be interested in other language learning opportunities. Of course, we speak English and can help with anyone interested in improving (American) English.

  Aide

  We need help with dogsitting our pups. Madi is an 9-year old red heeler/terrier mix, and Hank is a 5-year old red heeler mix. They love to hang out with people - Hank loves balls, and Madi likes tugging toys to play. They need to be taken out for bathroom breaks 3 times during the day (morning, midday, and before bed). We also ask that they be taken out for a 20-minute (or longer) walk each day (easiest if they are taken out individually - 1 person/1 dog because there are occasionally dogs off leash) - this is easy as there are some really nice lovely trails close by).
