    Description

Hi - I'm Alex. I've lived in Hakuba for 6 years with my family. Our company manages luxury properties all year round. During winter (Dec - March), we also run a car rental company, manages a wellness center (dayspa) and run a fine dining restaurant. They run as separate businesses so there people don't jump from accommodation to modern fine dining. We speak English and Japanese, and have two lovely kids at home. We need people in each of these areas from the start of December until end of March and even into early April. Our peak periods start from Dec 20, so it's important to have a few weeks to learn the job, the area, and grow with our full time team. Most of our guests are from overseas and speak English.

Our businesses run at a high price point and our guests expect premium service. From Dec 10 until at least the end of Feb, it will be 5 days week, 8 hours/day. We don't have flexibility in that during that period as we are at 100% occupancy that entire time. Due to the lack of availability of accommodation, we have to ensure the staff we bring can commit to that. If you are looking for something a bit more casual, there are plenty of places in town for that (and I'll even introduce you). The winter season (and skiable season) runs through March, April and into early May. We have a great group of full time staff that works for me year round. During winter, this is complimented by 10-20 staff from around the world.

*** For August - we are only in need to staff that can assist with housekeeping + cleaning up of BBQs. ***

Please note, anyone working for us must have a valid visa to work in Japan. Tourist visas are not valid for working (paid or volunteer).

Chance to work with an international hospitality team - managing 5 star guest accommodation, car rental, and/or our restaurant. You will also have plenty of time every day to ski, snowboard, enjoy the onsens, or hike in the Japanese Alps. Hakuba welcomes a great mixture of foreign guests coming from overseas. You can hang out with only locals or hang out with people from around the world. It is a melting pot and very busy during winter.

Hakuba is filled with incredibly energy throughout the winter. It doesn't matter if it is a weekday or a weekend, it is always busy from mid Dec until mid March. You can explore all the Japanese hot spring, go see the Japanese temples in Nagano or Matsumoto Castle, or take a drive down to Kanazawa, which is like a mini Kyoto. We can offer a car if you needed as well for your stay, but you will need an international driver's license.
