  Hi!! We are Alba and Thomas, a couple settled in a small village called La Villa de Sub located in the wonderful Valle del Privilegio, Teverga, Asturias.
  
  I am Alba, and I am Spanish, from a small village in Burgos, Thomas is from the north of France, Jura region. We met in the French Alps where we worked doing the winter seasons and in the last 5 years we have been on the move around the world.
  
  We spent 8 months in Africa hitchhiking and on foot and two years traveling the world by bicycle passing through some of the most remote places in these parts of the world... always choosing the mountain routes where we meet the local population... the one who it blends with the landscape of the place and that teaches you from the purest roots... on this trip, especially in Africa, we always alternated stopping from time to time in different projects, almost always related to bio-construction or agriculture.
  
  Now we have decided to take the step of creating our own REFUGE, our base camp, a place where we try to put into practice all the ideas that we have been accumulating in our heads during these years, live in keeping with our ideals, try to leave a positive footprint on this wonderful world, create abundance for us, for the ecosystem and for future generations...
  
  We have bought a house in the village, where we are living for the whole year three people , and 5 hectares of land which are spread over different plots of land in different locations and one of them has a stone hut, cabana.
  
  The place is magical, we are in the middle of the mountains, the perfect place for mountain or road biking, climbing, hiking, cross-country skiing in winter, speleology and 50 minutes away from surfing or bodyboarding on amazing beaches! Pure paradise.

  Somos Alba y Thomas, una pareja instalada en el pequeño pueblo de Villa de Sub ubicado dentro del magnifico Valle del Privilegio, Teverga.
  
  Yo soy Alba, de un pueblo de Burgos, y Thomas es del norte de Francia, de la region del Jura. Nos conocimos en los Alpes franceses donde trabajábamos haciendo las temporadas de invierno y en los últimos 5 anos hemos estado en continuo movimiento alrededor del mundo.
  
  Pasamos 8 meses por África en autostop y a pie y dos anos recorriendo el mundo en bicicleta pasando por algunos de los lugares mas remotos de estas partes del mundo... eligiendo siempre las rutas de montana donde encontrar la población local... esa que se fusiona con el paisaje del lugar y que te enseña desde las raíces mas puras... en este viaje, sobre todo en África, siempre alternábamos parándonos de vez en cuando en diferentes proyectos, casi siempre relacionados con la bioconstrucción o la agricultura.
  
  Ahora nos hemos decidido a dar el paso de crear nuestro propio REFUGIO, ese campamento base que cada vez íbamos considerando mas necesario... un lugar donde tratar de poner en practica todas las ideas que hemos ido acumulando en la cabeza durante estos años, donde poder vivir acorde a nuestros ideales, tratar de dejar una huella positiva en este maravilloso mundo, generar abundancia para el ecosistema, para nosotros y para las futuras generaciones y participar en la tan necesaria resiliencia.
  
  Hemos comprado una casa, una cuadra de piedra y 5 hectáreas de terreno que estan repartidas en diferentes terrenos y lugares. La casa esta en el pueblo de La Villa de Sub, un pueblito a 1000m en el Valle del Privilegio donde vivimos durante todo el ano tres personas.
  
  El lugar es mágico, estamos en plena montana, lugar perfecto para hacer bici de montana o de carretera, escalada, rutas, ski de travesía en invierno, espeleología y a 50 minutos surf o bodyboard en playas alucinantes! Puro paraíso.

  The place where we are is unique at all levels. Sports (almost everything possible), folklore, the community of alternative people that is weaving itself around... so much to explore... We have material of many sports to leave you, plus our other passions are carpentry, live food, natural cosmetics, cheese making... we don't get bored!
  
  El lugar en el que nos encontramos es unico a todos los niveles. Deportes (casi todo posible), folclore, la comunidad de gente alternativa que se esta tejiendo alrededor...mucho para explorar... Nosotros tenemos material de muchos deportes para dejaros, ademas otras de nuestras pasiones son la carpinteria, la alimentacion viva, cosmetica natural, hacer quesos... no nos aburrimos!

  Aide

  We always have different open projects to work on and depending on the weather, the team of people and some other factors we alternate. Now we are starting to work with syntropic agriculture, so we have a lot of trees to manage to generate organic matter and lines full of abundance that we have to plant. Also there is the vegetable garden, the restoration of the stone cabin, some more land to manage and things to build like a chicken coop. We also have a natural spa that we have created ourselves where people come, so sometimes maybe we need help tomanage .... and of course you will try it!
  
  Tenemos siempre diferentes proyectos abiertos en los que trabajar y dependiendo de la meteorología, del equipo de personas y de algunos factores mas vamos alternando. Ahora estamos comenzando a trabajar con la agricultura sintropica, por lo que tenemos muchos arboles a gestionar para generar materia orgánica y líneas llenas de abundancia que tenemos que plantar, esta parte ahora es un poco la prioridad, profundizar en esto. Además esta la huerta, la restauración de la cabaña, algunas tierras mas a gestionar, hacer leña, y cosas a construir como un gallinero. También tenemos un spa natural que hemos creado nosotros adonde viene gente que a veces habrá que ayudarnos a gestionar....y que por supuesto probareis!
  
  Cualquier ayuda en cualquier temática es bienvenida, estamos abiertos a todo tipo de ideas y creemos en la colectividad y el trabajo compartido, en la cooperación, y en que cuanto mas elementos seamos en el sistema mas complejidad tendrá el mismo.

  Estamos muy abiertos a aprender otras lenguas, en particular Alba quiere recuperar un poco de su portugués! Vivió hace mas 8 anos en Portugal y su portugués comienza a desaparecer así que vendría bien practicarlo un poco! We are very open to learn other languages, in particular Alba wants to recover some of her Portuguese! She lived more than 8 years ago in Portugal and her Portuguese is starting to fade so it would be good to practice it a bit!

  Hébergement

  Place for a van and for tents more in the spring, and in winter a small room in the house or maybe we can have a small individual house, depending on the moment.
  
  Sitio para furgoneta y para tiendas de campaña mas de cara a primavera, y en invierno una habitación pequeña en la casa o quizás hay posibilidad de tener una pequeña casa aparte. La habitación no cuenta con ningún lujo, pero esta calentita y limpia, eso si!

  En el pueblo tenemos un centro social, que es un buen espacio para conectarse a internet y trabajar. Hay internet que hasta hora siempre ha funcionado bien. In the village we have a social center, which is a good place to connect to the internet and work. There is internet which has always worked well so far.

  Espace pour garer des vans

  Si venís con vuestra furgo hay diferentes lugares donde podríais ponerla sin problema. If you come with your own van there are different places for that.

  Possibilité d'accueillir les animaux

  Yes, no problem. We have two cats at home at the moment as our only animals, but they are always welcome. This is important for people with allergies, otherwise I can find a solution to accommodate the person in another space.
