Description
My name is Elisa, I am a semi-retired graphic designer, lived in Africa most of my life and moved to Portugal 6 years ago to live a slower lifestyle. I have a great interest in all things art and crafts and love to read, travel and enjoy a good Netflix true crime binge watch!
Making the move from a city lifestyle to a 'rural' one has had its challenges and it envolves more work than I had ever imagined, so right now I am looking for help around the garden and some property maintenance.
So, if you are energetic and willing to do the work, I look forward to hearing from you!

Travellers can experience Loulé and the Algarve in general, there is a lot to explore in the Loulé district, from the countryside to the beautiful beaches. Loulé city itself has an historic centre, a lively market and a genuine Portuguese atmosphere, and within fairly short distances there is access to outdoors experiences and beaches.
As a designer I will be happy to offer and exchange any creative advise and I am fluent in Portuguese and English so I am happy to help with any of the languages.
Aide
I mostly need some physical labour on the land and some DIY. Work on the land, clearing of some shrubs, moving some to create flower beds and maybe levelling a small area for an above the ground swimming pool. Some handyman and maintenance work required.
Some of the time we will work together depending on the task but it is important that you can work on your own.
I am looking for a couple or two friends to work for 3.5 hours a day.

Hébergement
The accommodation is a self-contained cottage with two divisions: an open plan lounge/dining/kitchenette and a bedroom with twin beds and en-suite bathroom.
There is also an outdoor area under shade to enjoy the outdoors.
I will provide food for breakfast only and the the Workawayers will be responsible for the other meals.
In exchange for the accommodation and breakfast a 3.5 hour working day is required (instead of the standard 5 hour day). No work on weekends.

The cottage is situated off the the main road on a plot of land with great space and views. Although it has the feel and quietness of the countryside, it is only 3,3km from the city of Loulé, 13 kms from Quarteira & Vilamoura and its beaches and 20kms from Faro.
The only public transport from the cottage to Loulé city is a return daily bus trip, however there are regular bus services from Loulé centre to Quarteira, Vilamoura, Faro and the rest of the Algarve and country. The Loulé train station is 7kms from the cottage and services the Algarve and country. An Uber from the cottage to the city centre is around 7 Euros.
I am happy to give a lift to Workwayers to Loulé center occasionally.
